ENVERGA UNIVERSITY HOSTS THE SPECIAL NON-PROFIT SCREENING OF MAGELLAN
Enverga University successfully hosted the special non-profit screening of Magellan on August 6, 2026, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Lav Diaz following the film’s premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. The event was graced by members of the film’s cast, including Ronnie Lazaro, who portrayed Raja Humabon, and Arjay Babon, who played Enrique Malacca and the Film Director Lav Diaz. Some of the scenes were shot in Spain, Portugal, Sampaloc, and Mauban, Quezon. The gala screening, held at the AEC Little Theater, was attended by Chairman/CEO Wilfrido L. Enverga and President/COO Naila E. Leveriza.
The film’s matinee and premiere screenings were held at the MSEUF Gymnasium and were attended by at least 6,000 students, providing the university community an opportunity to experience Diaz’s latest work. The special non-profit screening was the first screening outside Metro Manila and was organized in collaboration with Black Cap Pictures, through Film Director Paul Soriano and MSEUF Trustee Anna Katrina Enverga, bringing together the Enverga community and members of the film’s cast in an event celebrating Philippine filmmaking and the art.

ENVERGA UNIVERSITY PARTNERS WITH BLACK CAP PICTURES FOR MAGELLAN SPECIAL NON-PROFIT SCREENING
Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation continues to champion arts, culture, and historical awareness as it hosts a Special Non-Profit Screening of Magellan, the internationally acclaimed film directed by Lav Diaz that premiered at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, in partnership with Black Cap Pictures. The special screening will be held on August 6, 2026, through the initiative of the Chairman of the Board/CEO Wilfrido L. Enverga and President/COO Naila E. Leveriza as a prelude to the 80th Foundation Anniversary Celebration of MSEUF.
The screening will feature three schedules tailored to different audiences. The Matinee Screening, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and the Premiere Screening, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., both at the University Gymnasium to be attended by students. The Gala Screening, scheduled from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the AEC Little Theater, will be attended by members of the Management, Administrators, distinguished guests, faculty members, and employees, highlighting Enverga University's dedication to promoting cultural enrichment and intellectual discourse through the cinematic arts. This screening is considered the first showing outside Metro Manila.

CAFE 1947 OPENS AS LABORATORY CAFÉ FOR HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT STUDENTS
Enverga University officially marked the soft opening and blessing of CAFE 1947 on July 23, 2026, at The Manor, located within the College of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (CIHTM) Building. The ceremony was graced by MSEUF Chairman of the Board/CEO Wilfrido L. Enverga and President/COO Naila E. Leveriza, together with university officials, faculty members, staff, and guests.
Cafe 1947 will serve as the official laboratory café for Hospitality Management students, providing them with a dynamic learning environment where they can apply classroom knowledge through hands-on training in food and beverage operations, customer service, café management, and entrepreneurship. Equipped to simulate real-world industry standards, the facility reinforces MSEUF's dedication to producing competent, innovative, and globally competitive hospitality professionals through experiential learning and industry-based education. LGU MAUBAN PAID A COURTESY VISIT TO ENVERGA UNIVERSITY
Mauban, Quezon Mayor Erwin “Ninong” Pastrana paid a courtesy visit to Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation Chairman of the Board/CEO Wilfrido L. Enverga on July 23, 2026, at the Wildcats Lounge. The meeting focused on expanding educational opportunities for Mauban residents, particularly through the proposed LGU Mauban Scholarship Grant, which will enable qualified Maubanins to pursue their legal education at Enverga Law School.
The discussions also highlighted the successful implementation of the LGU Mauban Scholarship Grant for ten government employees who have begun their studies this school year under the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP). In addition, Mayor Pastrana and Chairman Enverga explored plans for the establishment of the proposed Mauban Museum, which will honor the legacy of the late Dr. Manuel S. Enverga Sr., a proud native of Mauban, the founder of MSEUF in Lucena City and MSE Memorial School of Arts and Trade in Mauban, Quezon. The proposed museum aims to preserve the rich history and enduring contributions of Dr. Enverga while serving as a cultural and educational landmark for future generations.

ENVERGA UNIVERSITY PARTNERS WITH LINKSPORTS INC. FOR GYMNASIUM BLEACHERS AND COURT RENOVATION
Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation marked another milestone in its commitment to campus development through the Ceremonial Contract Signing for the University Gymnasium’s Bleachers and Court Renovation Project on July 23, 2026, at the Executive Office Board Room. The project was officially awarded to Linksports Inc., represented by its President and Owner, Mr. Jojo Eugenio. The ceremonial signing was graced by the Chairman/CEO Wilfrido L. Enverga and President/COO Naila E. Leveriza.
Linksports Inc. is widely recognized for its expertise in sports facility construction and rehabilitation, including its work on the rehabilitation of the Ateneo Blue Eagle Gym. With the company's proven track record, the University Gymnasium is expected to undergo a significant transformation featuring upgraded bleachers and a rehabilitated playing court that meet high standards of quality and functionality. Once completed, the enhanced facility will provide a safer and more conducive venue for athletic competitions, physical education classes, university programs, and other major institutional events, further strengthening Enverga University's pursuit of excellence in both academics and sports.

CAFE 1947 SOON TO OPEN AT THE MANOR
Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation will be having the Soft Opening of Cafe 1947 at The Manor, CIHTM Building, on July 23, 2026, at 3:00 in the afternoon. The opening ceremony will mark another milestone in the University's commitment to providing innovative learning spaces that bridge academic instruction with industry-based experience. Following the program, Cafe 1947 will officially open its doors to customers, welcoming guests to experience its warm ambiance and quality food and beverage offerings.
More than just a coffee shop, Cafe 1947 will serve as a hands-on laboratory for Hospitality Management students, allowing them to develop and enhance their practical skills in food and beverage service, customer relations, café operations, and hospitality management. Through this initiative, the University continues to strengthen experiential learning by providing students with a real-world training environment that prepares them for successful careers in the hospitality and tourism industry while delivering quality service to the community. ENVERGA UNIVERSITY SHOWCASES SCHOOL PRIDE AT THE MAUBANOG FESTIVAL GRAND PARADE
Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) proudly participated in the Maubanog Festival's Grand Parade on July 14, 2026, in honor of its Patron Saint, St. Bonaventure, bringing vibrant energy and colors to one of the municipality's most anticipated annual celebrations. Leading the University's delegation was Ms. Enverga University 2026, Mia Elisse Poblete, gracefully riding the festival float alongside two Wildcats mascots, who delighted spectators and proudly represented the University's maroon-and-white identity. The colorful float became one of the parade's highlights, showcasing Enverga University's commitment to community engagement and institutional pride.
Adding excitement and musical excellence to the parade was the MSEUF Chamberwinds, whose lively performances entertained the crowd throughout the parade route. Joining them were the Enverga Mauban Campus administrators, faculty members, employees, basketball and cultural scholars, who marched together in a remarkable display of unity, enthusiasm, and school pride. Through its meaningful participation, Enverga University reaffirmed its strong partnership with the Municipality of Mauban to support cultural traditions while promoting excellence under its mantra of "For God and Country."

Enverga University proudly participated in the Maubanog Festival’s Bayle sa Kalye on July 9, 2026, bringing energy, color, and cultural excellence to the streets of Mauban. Representing the university was the BED Tanglaw Kultura Dance Troupe, whose lively performances captivated festivalgoers and highlighted the richness of Filipino heritage through music and dance.
The university’s participation reflected its continued dedication to promoting culture, community engagement, and artistic expression. As the BED Tanglaw Kultura Dance Troupe performed alongside other festival participants, they contributed to the festive atmosphere and celebrated the traditions that make the Maubanog Festival a cherished annual event, leaving spectators with a memorable display of talent, unity, and school pride.

ENVERGA UNIVERSITY HOSTS MAUBAN TOWN MEET TOURNAMENT SERIES SWIMMING COMPETITION
Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation proudly hosted the Swimming Competition of the Mauban Town Meet Tournament Series on July 5, 2026, bringing together talented young swimmers from different schools across the municipality. The event was held at the University's 10-lane Olympic-sized swimming pool, providing participants with a world-class venue to showcase their athletic skills, sportsmanship, and determination in various swimming events.
The competition highlighted Enverga University's continuing commitment to supporting youth development and promoting excellence in sports by providing quality facilities for local athletic programs. The successful staging of the event strengthened the University's partnership with the Municipality of Mauban and reaffirmed its dedication to fostering community engagement while encouraging aspiring athletes to pursue excellence both in sports and in life. The series will continue on July 18-19, July 25-26, and the Town Meet proper on August 1-2, 2026.

MSEUF JOINS LGU MAUBAN’S 4th STATE OF THE MUNICIPALITY ADDRESS
Representatives from the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) through the Chairman of the Board/CEO Wilfrido L. Enverga and President/COO Naila E. Leveriza attended the 4th State of the Municipality Address (SOMA) of Mauban Mayor Bautista Erwin Dwight “Ninong” Pastrana on July 8, 2026, held at the Mauban Gymnasium. During his annual report, Mayor Pastrana highlighted the municipality’s accomplishments and outlined initiatives aimed at strengthening education, economic development, and public service through partnerships with various institutions, including MSEUF.
Among the key announcements were the selection of 10 scholars from Mauban who will pursue higher education through the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) at MSEUF Lucena, as well as the upcoming enrollment of five Mauban scholars at Enverga Law School. The Mayor also recognized Enverga Mauban for its contribution to the municipality’s growth and economic stability, highlighting the institution’s continuing role in expanding educational opportunities and supporting the development of the local community.
