DepEd CALABARZON Conducts Stage 2 Validation for Gawad Patnugot Outstanding Master Teacher at NRES
BOCOHAN, LUCENA CITY — Napoleon Ravanzo Elementary School (NRES) welcomed regional validators for the Stage 2 Validation of the 11th Gawad Patnugot – Outstanding Elementary School Master Teacher, as DepEd Region IV-A CALABARZON conducted an on-site assessment through validation of documents and demonstration teaching.
Eugene Ray F. Santos, Education Program Supervisor in English of the Curriculum Learning and Management Division and Education Program Supervisor of the Quality Assurance Division Dr. Ma. Lourdes O. Manimtim served as validators during the visit. The validation process provided an opportunity to examine the authenticity, relevance, and impact of the accomplishments presented by the qualifier, while the demonstration teaching enabled the validation team to observe how professional competence and instructional leadership translate into actual classroom practice.
Also present during the regional visit were Ms. Barbara Jane E. Barron, Education Program Specialist II–Human Resource Training and Development (EPS II-HRTD), and Public Schools District Supervisor Ma. Consolacion V. Teñido, providing support to the conduct of the validation.
Representing NRES in the regional search was Ma. Cherie G. Resurreccion, Master Teacher II, who emerged as one of only three Stage 2 qualifiers for the Outstanding Elementary School Master Teacher category. Her portfolio of accomplishments highlighted sustained initiatives and contributions in literacy and numeracy, particularly efforts directed toward strengthening foundational learning and improving learner outcomes.
The document validation examined the evidence supporting the accomplishments and professional contributions presented, while the demonstration teaching showcased classroom instruction, learner engagement, pedagogical practices, and the application of competencies expected of an outstanding Master Teacher.
For NRES, hosting the Stage 2 validation was not merely part of an awards process but also an opportunity to demonstrate the school's continuing commitment to evidence-based practice, instructional excellence, literacy and numeracy development, and improved learning outcomes.
The conduct of the regional validation underscored the rigor of the Gawad Patnugot selection process—ensuring that recognition is anchored not only on documented accomplishments but also on demonstrated professional practice and meaningful impact on learners and the school community.
As the Stage 2 assessment concluded, NRES reaffirmed its support for a culture where excellence is demonstrated, accomplishments are validated through evidence, and outstanding practices ultimately translate into better learning for every child.
