Ika-12 ng Marso 2026, ganap na alas-3:30 ng hapon, matagumpay na nakiisa ang Talao-Talao Elementary School sa isinagawang Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill bilang bahagi ng patuloy na paghahanda ng paaralan sa mga posibleng sakuna, lalo na ang lindol.

Aktibong lumahok sa nasabing aktibidad ang mga teaching at non-teaching personnel. Sa pagtunog ng hudyat, agad na isinagawa ng lahat ang tamang “Duck, Cover, and Hold” bilang paunang hakbang sa oras ng lindol. Matapos ang itinakdang oras, maayos at disiplinadong nagsagawa ng evacuation patungo sa mga itinakdang ligtas na lugar ang mga g**o at kawani, alinsunod sa earthquake evacuation plan ng paaralan.

Ang drill ay isinagawa nang may kaayusan at kooperasyon, na nagpakita ng kahandaan, disiplina, at malasakit ng bawat isa sa kaligtasan ng sarili at ng kapwa. Sa pamamagitan ng aktibidad na ito, mas napagtibay ang kaalaman at kasanayan ng mga kawani ng paaralan sa tamang pagtugon sa mga emergency na sitwasyon.

🔥🚒 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 2026 🚒🔥 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞: “𝐒𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐠-𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐨𝐠, 𝐇𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢 𝐊𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐠-𝐢𝐢𝐬𝐚”

In support of the observance of 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 this March 2026, 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗼-𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗼 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 successfully conducted a Fire Prevention Symposium last March 2, 2026 entitled “𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 2026: 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.” This activity aimed to raise awareness among learners and school personnel about fire safety, prevention, and preparedness in case of emergencies.

The symposium was graced by our resource speaker, 𝗦𝗙𝗢1 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗚. 𝗢𝘅𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘂 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, who shared valuable knowledge on the common causes of fire incidents, preventive measures, and the importance of being alert and prepared at all times. The discussion encouraged everyone to take an active role in promoting safety not only in school but also in their homes and communities.

The activity was further supported by Facilitators F𝗢1 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘇 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗢1 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹𝗮 𝗗 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗮, who assisted in delivering important fire safety reminders, guidelines and proper used of Fire extinguisher.

Following the symposium, an actual demonstration on the proper use of fire extinguishers was conducted. Teachers and participants were given the opportunity to observe and learn the correct steps in handling fire extinguishers during emergency situations. This hands-on demonstration helped strengthen their confidence and readiness in responding to fire-related incidents.

Through this meaningful activity, the school community was reminded that fire prevention is a shared responsibility, and with proper knowledge, vigilance, and cooperation, we can help ensure a safer environment for everyone.

𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗼‑𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗼 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 proudly participated in the 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟 2026 held on February 21, 2026, at the newly constructed Multi‑Purpose Covered Court and Gabaldon Hall of Lucena West I Elementary School, Ilayang Iyam, Lucena City. The event, organized by the Lucena City Girl Scout Council, gathered Star Scouts from various public and private schools with the theme “𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽.”

A total of 31 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀 from Talao‑Talao Elementary School attended and actively took part in the day‑long celebration. The event aimed to enrich the scouts through activities focused on Spirituality and Well‑being, Arts, and World Community, ensuring meaningful and enjoyable learning experiences.

The day began with the registration at 8:00–8:30 a.m., followed by the Opening Ceremony and the World Thinking Day Ceremony, which emphasized unity, camaraderie, and the importance of global awareness among the young scouts.

After the ceremonies, the scouts joined four activity bases: Paper Dolls Like Me, Language of Friendship, Jump In, Jump Out, and Song & Games.

Each activity allowed the Star Scouts to demonstrate creativity, teamwork, discipline, and social interaction. The scouts from Talao‑Talao Elementary School actively participated in all assigned bases, showing enthusiasm, good behavior, and cooperation throughout the event.

The activity provided valuable opportunities for the scouts to develop confidence, express themselves, and build meaningful friendships with fellow scouts from other schools. Likewise, the event strengthened their understanding of the Girl Scouts’ ideals and values.

Overall, Talao‑Talao Elementary School’s participation in STAR REVEL 2026 was highly successful. The 31 Star Scouts who represented the school gained new learning experiences and proudly upheld the school’s spirit of unity and excellence.

𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗼-𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗼 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 successfully conducted its 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 as part of the school’s commitment to promoting the health and well-being of our learners.

The activity was headed by 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼, who ensured the safe and proper administration of the deworming tablets. Prior to the activity, consent forms were distributed to parents and guardians to inform them about the importance and benefits of deworming. We are grateful that almost half of our learner population received parental consent and actively participated in this important health initiative.

During the activity, learners were oriented on the importance of proper hygiene practices such as handwashing and maintaining cleanliness to prevent intestinal worms and other infections. The deworming process was conducted in an organized and supervised manner, with teachers assisting in monitoring the learners.

Through this initiative, Talao-Talao Elementary School continues to prioritize the health of our students—because healthy learners are happy learners and ready to achieve their best in school!
