Investiture Ceremony 2026 Celebrates Twinklers, Stars, and Juniors

LUCENA WEST IV ELEMENTARY SCHOOL — A new generation of Girl Scouts officially began their journey of leadership, service, discipline, and friendship as Lucena West IV Elementary School held its GSP Investiture Ceremony for Twinkler, Star, and Junior Girl Scouts on September 7, 2026, at 9:00 A.M.
With the inspiring theme “Lead On: Girl Scouts Carrying our Legacy, Leading the Future,” the ceremony highlighted the commitment of young scouts to uphold the ideals and traditions of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines.

The celebration began with a solemn Processional, participated in by the School
Officials, GSP Troop Leaders, Investing Officer, and Girl Scouts. The Entrance of Colors, National Anthem, and Prayer followed.
Selected Twinkler, Star, and Junior Girl Scouts proudly recited the GSP Promise and Law, symbolizing their commitment to live by the values of scouting.

Mrs. Enelyn H. Bayani, Principal, delivered the Welcome Remarks, encouraging the Girl Scouts to become responsible, disciplined, confident, and service-oriented young leaders.
The school community also welcomed Mrs. Michelle B. Palillo, GSP Lucena District Field Adviser, Camellia Pink District, who served as the Investing Officer.
In her inspirational message, Mrs. Palillo encouraged the young scouts to carry the values of scouting beyond the ceremony and into their homes, classrooms, and communities.

Beyond Sports: Fostering Discipline, Integrity, and Friendships!

September 9, 2026 | Lucena West IV Elementary School

With determination in their hearts and pride for their school, four outstanding learners of Lucena West IV Elementary School are set to represent the school in the SDAAM 2026 – Schools Division Athletic Meet this September 2026.

Carrying this year’s inspiring theme, “Beyond Sports: Fostering Discipline, Integrity, and Friendships!”, the young athletes are ready to demonstrate not only their skills and athletic abilities but also the values of discipline, sportsmanship, perseverance, and friendship.

Three of the school’s athletes earned their spots in the Division Athletic Meet after emerging as winners in the District Meet.

Jarwin Clarck R. Ortega, a Grade 6 learner, will compete in the 400-meter dash. His speed, endurance, and determination have helped him achieve success in the district-level competition.

Joining him are two talented Grade 5 athletes:

Princess Mae S. Guinto will compete in the 1500-meter run, while Allen James N. Aldovino will compete in the 800-meter run. Both athletes also emerged as winners during the District Meet, earning the opportunity to advance and compete at the division level.

Guiding the three athletes in their athletic journey is their dedicated coach, Mrs. Susan D. Banderada, whose commitment, encouragement, and guidance have helped the young runners prepare for the challenges of higher-level competition.

Supporting the school's athletic program is Mrs. Analiza E. Lodriga, School MAPEH Coordinator, who continues to help promote sports, physical fitness, teamwork, and holistic development among learners.

Representing Lucena West IV Elementary School in Tennis is Zike Kyler B. Magdaraog, a Grade 4 learner. With focus, courage, and determination, Zike Kyler is ready to take on the challenge and showcase his skills on the tennis court.

As these four young athletes step into the SDAAM 2026 arena, their journey goes beyond medals and victories. Their participation is an opportunity to develop discipline through training, integrity through fair play, perseverance through challenges, and friendships through sportsmanship.

Their accomplishments serve as an inspiration to their fellow Batang West IV, reminding everyone that success is not measured only by winning but also by the courage to participate, the willingness to learn, and the determination to give one's best.

Lucena West IV Elementary School Conducts Active Attack Safety Drill

LUCENA CITY - Lucena West IV Elementary School conducted its School Safety Drill on Active Attack Incidents yesterday, September 3, 2026, in compliance with the Department of Education’s nationwide activity aimed at strengthening preparedness and ensuring the safety and security of learners and school personnel.

The drill brought together the school’s teaching personnel, learners, and parents in a coordinated simulation designed to reinforce proper safety procedures and appropriate responses during an active attack situation.

The activity also highlighted the importance of cooperation between the school and the community. The BPSO officers and the Barangay Councilor designated as DRRM Committee, Mr. Ramon H. Rago, representing Barangay Captain Edward Sy Bang, participated in the activity and extended the support of the barangay in the school’s continuing efforts to promote a safe and secure learning environment.

The School Head, Mrs. Enelyn Hermita Bayani, emphasized that preparedness is an essential part of protecting learners and personnel.

“The safety of our learners and teachers is our shared responsibility. Through drills like this, we help everyone understand what to do, where to go, and how to respond calmly and appropriately during an emergency. We are grateful for the active participation of our teachers, parents, learners, and our barangay partners,” Bayani said.

Teachers played an important role in guiding learners throughout the activity, ensuring that safety procedures were properly followed and that learners remained calm and attentive during the simulation.

The participation of parents likewise demonstrated the importance of a strong partnership between the school and families. Their involvement reinforced the message that school safety does not rest solely on school personnel but requires the collective support of the entire community.

The presence of the barangay representative further strengthened the school-community partnership, particularly in responding to situations that may require assistance from local authorities and community responders.

Lastly, the School’s Guidance Advocate, Mrs. Joannalyn J. Botor, showed the conduct of psychological counselling for those learners emotionally and psychologically affected by such incident.

More than a routine exercise, the activity served as an opportunity for the school community to "prepare, practice, and build confidence in responding to emergencies".

Lucena West IV Elementary School remains committed to creating a learning environment where learners can study safely and where teachers, parents, and community partners work together to protect every child.

Lucena West IV Elementary School proudly extends its warmest congratulations to its distinguished awardees who were recognized during the Gawad Tala 2026 Awarding Ceremony, held on July 31, 2026, at SLASH Restaurant, Lucena City. The prestigious event honored teaching and non-teaching personnel for their unwavering commitment, exemplary performance, and dedicated years of service in the field of education.

The ceremony was successfully spearheaded by the WEDTAL President, Mrs. Reyce Babaran, a teacher of Lucena West IV Elementary School, whose leadership and dedication greatly contributed to the success of this meaningful celebration. Moreover, said ceremony was hosted by the ever-gorgeous and captivating teacher of the same school, Mrs. Rizza N. Villa.

Among those recognized were our remarkable service awardees who have devoted decades of their lives to public service and the betterment of education. Look II Crafting Lesson Plans Based on the ILAW Framework and the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Teaching-Learning Process

First School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) Session | School Year 2026–2027

LUCENA CITY – Lucena West IV Elementary School successfully conducted its First School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) Session for School Year 2026–2027, bringing together teaching personnel in a meaningful professional learning activity focused on strengthening instructional planning and maximizing technology in education.

The session, entitled “Crafting Lesson Plans Based on the ILAW Framework and the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Teaching-Learning Process,” was conducted in reference to Department of Education Order No. 3, s. 2026, Annex, which provides the guidelines for the preparation and implementation of lesson plans using the ILAW Framework.

The activity formally commenced with the Opening Remarks delivered by Mrs. Enelyn H. Bayani, School Head of Lucena West IV Elementary School. In her message, she emphasized the importance of continuous professional growth among teachers and encouraged everyone to embrace innovative instructional approaches that promote quality, inclusive, and learner-centered education. She also highlighted the significance of integrating technology responsibly to meet the evolving needs of 21st-century learners.

Serving as the SLAC Facilitator, Dr. Mildred C. Aranas, Master Teacher II, expertly guided the participants through the salient features of the ILAW Framework, emphasizing its role in developing competency-based, engaging, and meaningful lesson plans. She provided practical demonstrations on aligning learning objectives, instructional strategies, assessment, and learning activities based on the framework prescribed by the Department of Education.

A significant portion of the session focused on the responsible and effective use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the teaching-learning process. Teachers explored how AI-powered tools can assist in lesson planning, instructional material development, assessment creation, classroom differentiation, and administrative tasks while ensuring that professional judgment, ethical standards, and learner needs remain at the center of instructional decision-making.

The collaborative discussions, workshops, and sharing of best practices enabled teachers to exchange ideas, refine their lesson-planning skills, and discover innovative ways to integrate AI into classroom instruction without compromising educational integrity.

The successful conduct of the First SLAC Session reaffirmed Lucena West IV Elementary School's commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence in teaching. Through professional collaboration and capacity-building initiatives such as SLAC, the school continues to empower its educators to deliver responsive, relevant, and future-ready instruction for every Batang West IV.

READ II LWIVES Launches "Kultura ay Disiplina, Gawing Gawi ang Mabuti ng Batang Lucenahin" School-Based Habit Formation Program

Lucena City – In support of the School Division Office of Lucena City's initiative to strengthen values formation and bridge the gap between values education and learners' actual behavior, Lucena West IV Elementary School (LWIVES) officially launched the "Kultura ay Disiplina, Gawing Gawi ang Mabuti ng Batang Lucenahin: A School-Based Habit Formation Program" for School Year 2026–2027.

The program aims to cultivate disciplined, responsible, respectful, and values-oriented learners by developing positive habits that can be practiced consistently both inside and outside the classroom. It involves all learners from Kindergarten to Grade VI, together with their class advisers, in promoting good character and responsible citizenship through daily habit formation activities.

The initiative is spearheaded by Mrs. Enelyn H. Bayani, School Principal, in collaboration with Mrs. Corazon B. Alipio, GMRC Coordinator, and Mrs. Joannalyn J. Botor, Guidance Designate. Their collective leadership reflects the school's unwavering commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, nurturing, and learner-centered educational environment where good values are translated into everyday actions.

Prior to the official implementation, the school conducted a comprehensive planning session to identify common behavioral concerns among learners and determine the positive habits that require continuous reinforcement. This was followed by an orientation for teachers and stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of the program's objectives, implementation strategies, and expected outcomes.

As part of the program launch, meaningful classroom activities were conducted during the Opening Block from June 8 to June 11, 2026. Guided by their class advisers, learners actively participated in collaborative discussions and created their own Classroom Agreements. These agreements encouraged learners to take shared ownership of classroom expectations, practice positive behaviors, and uphold the core values they committed to throughout the school year.

The classroom agreements also served as a daily reminder of every learner's responsibility to demonstrate discipline, respect, honesty, kindness, and cooperation in school. Through this initiative, LWIVES hopes to strengthen a culture where good habits become lifelong practices that contribute to academic success and responsible citizenship.

With the full support of school personnel, parents, and community stakeholders, Lucena West IV Elementary School remains steadfast in its mission of nurturing learners who embody the values of discipline, integrity, respect, and excellence—truly living the spirit of "Kultura ay Disiplina, Gawing Gawi ang Mabuti ng Batang Lucenahin."
