Earthquakes can happen without warning, but being prepared keeps us safe. In line with DepEd Order No. 14, s. 2026, let us always remember these vital safety protocols inside and outside our school grounds:

BEFORE (PREPAREDNESS)
📍 Know your evacuation routes: Familiarize yourself with the pathway from your classroom to the designated open space/assembly area.

📦 Prepare emergency supplies: Ensure classroom first aid kits, emergency flashlights, and whistles are accessible.

🗄️ Secure safe spots: Keep heavy objects away from high shelves and identify sturdy desks for shelter.

DURING (IMMEDIATE ACTION)
If you feel the ground shaking:

IF INSIDE THE CLASSROOM:

DROP: Get down on your hands and knees immediately.

COVER: Take cover under a sturdy desk or table. Protect your head and neck.

HOLD ON: Hold on tightly to your shelter until all shaking stops!

IF OUTSIDE:

Move away from trees, power lines, concrete walls, and building overhangs to an open area (school quadrangle/field).

Drop to the ground and cover your head with your bag or hands.

AFTER (EVACUATION & ACCOUNTABILITY)
🚶‍♂️ Evacuate Calmly: Once shaking stops, exit the building in single file. Remember: NO Running, NO Pushing, NO Talking, NO Overtaking.

⛳ Proceed to Assembly Area: Gather with your class in the designated safe zone.

📋 Roll Call: Teachers will check attendance to account for all pupils. Report any injured or missing classmates immediately.

📻 Stay Alert: Remain in the assembly area and wait for official updates and safe clearance before re-entering any building.
