LIBRARY & AVRC COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM
THEME: KALINISAN NG KATAWAN IBAYONG SIGLA AT KALUSUGAN

The Library and Audio-Visual Resource Center (AVRC) conducted a Community Outreach Program on October 25, 2025, with the theme “Kalinisan ng Katawan, Ibayong Sigla at Kalusugan.” The activity was attended by 35 children from Barangay Barra, Lucena City. Dr. Maila Lopez Savedia discussed personal hygiene with the children, teaching them how to take care of their bodies, eat healthy food, and get enough sleep. She also discussed the seven areas of personal hygiene, emphasizing that “taking care of yourself also means taking care of your environment.” She also distributed hygiene essentials that the children could take home to encourage good hygiene practices. To conclude the activity, the librarians and staff gave the children a tour of the Main Library, where they were shown various books and library materials.

The National Book Week theme for 2025 is "Tulay ang Pagbasa sa Bukas na Puno ng Pag-Asa" (Reading Bridges to a Future Full of Hope). The theme highlights the importance of reading as a bridge that connects us from the past to a hopeful tomorrow. That by learning from the past stories and events, we are consequently able to bring about change and thus pave the way for a better future for all.

In line with this significant celebration, the Instructional Media Center will hold the Celebration on October 23-24; 27-29, 2025 with the following walk-in activities for HED & GS Students and Faculty:
