𝚁 𝙴 𝙰 𝙳 | 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐠, 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐆𝐍𝐇𝐒 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬

Gulang-Gulang National High School, through the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) in coordination with the Philippine National Police - Lucena City, conducted a Drug Symposium on July 1 at the GNHS Session Hall to strengthen students' awareness of drug prevention, anti-bullying, and school safety. Class presidents, vice presidents from all grade levels, and selected student organization members participated in the said activity.

The program commenced with opening remarks by Raiza Lipardo, Teacher III, who briefly discussed the global drug problem and its impact on students and communities before presenting PSSg Ana M. Paral, Police Community Relations Police Non-Commissioned Officer (PCR-PNCO) of PNP - Lucena City, as the resource speaker.

During the symposium, PSSg Emparal explained the different forms of bullying through real-life examples and preventive measures. She highlighted Republic Act No. 10627, or the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013, emphasizing that every learner has the right to study in a safe and respectful environment. She also reminded participants that the law covers repeated acts of physical, verbal, social, and cyberbullying in both public and private schools.

She further informed participants that children aged 15 years and above may undergo appropriate legal intervention and rehabilitation through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), depending on the circumstances provided by law. She encouraged students to uphold the message, “Stop bullying, defend the bullied.”

PSSg Paral also discussed illegal drugs, the different types of addiction, their harmful effects, and strategies for preventing substance abuse. She encouraged learners to make responsible decisions and contribute to building a drug-free and bully-free school community.

The symposium strengthened students' awareness of drug prevention and anti-bullying policies while encouraging them to become responsible leaders and positive role models who promote a safe, respectful, and drug-free school environment.

As part of our commitment to transparency and accountability in public procurement, Gulang-Gulang National High School has officially issued the Notice of Award (NOA) and Notice to Proceed (NTP) for the Procurement of Hot Meals Ingredients and Other Necessary Components for the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) for S.Y. 2026–2027.

This milestone marks the commencement of the project's implementation to support the nutritional needs of our learners.
