CEFI proudly and gratefully celebrates the recognition bestowed by the Philippine Red Cross for over a decade of meaningful partnership and commitment to community health.

Through the years, CEFI has donated more than 1,000 units of blood, helping save lives and make a meaningful difference in the community. This milestone embodies SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, while our enduring collaboration with the Philippine Red Cross reflects SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals—a reminder that meaningful partnerships and collective action can create a healthier, more caring community.

The recognition was presented on August 27, 2026, and received by Prof. Wena Rocio, Director for Community Extension and External Affairs, and Prof. Harley Rose Bautista, Dean of the College of Medical Technology.

The entire CEFI community extends its most heartfelt condolences to the family of Dr. Maria Luz Macasinag, Former Commissioner of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA), as well as to the Bicol College community where she served as President. Thank you, Dr. Macasinag for your invaluable contribution towards CEFI’s accreditation journey.

To further ensure the safety, security, and resilience of its learning environment, CEFI convened faculty members, non-teaching personnel, and administrators for an orientation on contingency planning for incidents involving active shooters and other security threats on Friday, 3 July 2026, at the JVC Theater, Karunungan Hall.

The initiative was led by the Health, Safety, and Crisis Management Committee (HSCMC) who introduced the Department of Education's (DepEd) Active Threat Plan to the participants.

The DepEd Active Threat Plan provides a structured framework for preparing for, responding to, and managing critical incidents involving active shooter situations and other forms of active threats within educational institutions. Through the orientation, participants were equipped with essential information and protocols aimed at strengthening preparedness and promoting a culture of safety and vigilance within the CEFI community.

The activity forms part of CEFI's continuing commitment to safeguarding learners, employees, and stakeholders by ensuring that effective response mechanisms are in place during emergency situations.
