๐๐๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ป, ๐ค๐๐ฒ๐๐ผ๐ป โ On January 20, 2026, the Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) Tissue Culture Laboratory (TCL) held a meeting with representatives from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) Quezon to finalize the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for their collaborative project.
The partnership, initially focused on the production of tissueโcultured planting materials of the Raniag potato variety, will now expand to include other crops, strengthening efforts to support agricultural development in the province.
OPA - Quezon Research and Development Unit (RND) was represented by Ms. Ma. Leonellie Dimalaluan, Ms. Kimberly Reyes, and Mr. Eduardo Paolo Ramos. The meeting was moderated by Ms. Jean Raga of the Office of Research Services and attended by TCL personnel headed by Dr. Wilfredo B. Barrera Jr., Head of the Tissue Culture Laboratory.
This collaboration marks a significant step toward advancing sustainable agriculture and ensuring the availability of highโquality planting materials for farmers in Quezon and beyond.
