The Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) Library welcomed first-year students through the Library Orientation and Tour conducted from July 21–23, 2026, at the University Library. The activity aimed to familiarize students with the library facilities, resources, services, policies, and digital collections, empowering them to make the most of the University's learning resources throughout their academic journey.

Students from the different colleges actively participated in the orientation and explored the different sections of the library, including its learning spaces and specialized service areas.
Through this initiative, the SLSU Library reaffirms its commitment to supporting teaching, learning, and research by equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively access and utilize quality information resources for academic success.

| 𝗦𝗟𝗦𝗨 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘀’ 𝗞𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗬𝘂𝘆𝗮𝗻𝘀, 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲!

The Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), through its Information and Orientation Services, released the SLSU Freshies’ Kit to guide incoming first year students. The kit contains information on dress code, grading system, attendance, maps, academic calendar, and other necessities.

To learn more about the university, a 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗚𝘆𝗺𝗻𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗮𝘁 𝟴 𝗔𝗠. This will be followed by the opening of student booths, information dissemination on the Committee on Decorum and Investigation, and a guided navigation of the student portal.

The general orientation program includes the detailed flow, seating assignments, and the schedule of college-specific orientations to be conducted during the first week of classes.

| SLSU Library Conducts a Technical Learning Activity at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF)

On July 13, 2026, the SLSU Library conducted a Technical Learning Activity at the MSEUF University Libraries to learn from its established Collection Maintenance Unit.

The activity provided SLSU librarians with practical insights into the repair, preservation, and maintenance of library materials through the observation of actual workflows, tools, and best practices. The knowledge gained will support the establishment of a Collection Maintenance Unit and the development of a sustainable collection preservation program at SLSU.

This initiative reflects the University Library's commitment to continuously improving library services and preserving valuable learning resources. The University Library extends its sincere appreciation to the MSEUF University Libraries for their warm hospitality and generous sharing of expertise.

| 𝗘𝗻𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳

In preparation for the opening of the first semester of Academic Year 2026–2027, Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) shares the official enrollment and class schedules as released by the Office of the University Registrar:

📍July 8, 2026
Deadline for submission of lacking requirements (for incoming 1st year students with incomplete documentary requirements).

📍July 9-10, 2026
Online activation of student accounts for 1st year students across all campuses, and for returning students from satellite and extension campuses.

📍July 13-17, 2026
Online enrollment for students from SLSU Main, satellite, and extension campuses.
𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: The Registrar’s Office of SLSU Lucena, and SLSU Catanauan will conduct 𝗶𝗻-𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (8:00 AM–5:00 PM), following the same schedule as online enrollment (e.g., July 13 for 1st year students).

In-person enrollment is also available for those who are unable to access online enrollment for SLSU Tayabas and SLSU Alabat.

In-person enrollment for SLSU Alabat will follow this schedule:
July 13 for 1st year and 2nd year
July 14 for 3rd year and 4th year
July 15 for irregular and transferees

📍July 18-25, 2026
In-person enrollment for Graduate School

📍July 20, 2026
First day of classes for all campuses

📍July 25, 2026
First day of classes for Graduate School

Detailed guidelines for 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 will be posted once finalized by the concerned offices.
SLSU Gumaca will separately announce their enrollment schedule.
