Suspension of Face-to-Face Classes | Online Learning Continues

August 17, 2026

Dear Parents/Guardians, Students, and LCS Community,

In view of Malacañang Memorandum Circular No. 127, which directs the implementation of alternative learning modes for classes in both public and private schools in Quezon and other affected areas due to the continuous heavy rainfall associated with the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), Lucban Christian School, Inc. (LCS) announces the suspension of face-to-face classes effective August 17, 2026, until further notice.

This measure is being implemented to prioritize the safety and well-being of our learners, teachers, and personnel.

📚 ONLINE LEARNING CONTINUES

Although face-to-face classes are suspended, learning will continue through our Online/Alternative Learning Mode.

Students are expected to:

Attend and participate in scheduled online classes and learning activities.
Check the LCS Learner Management System (LMS) regularly for announcements, lessons, assignments, and other instructions.
Complete and submit assigned learning tasks within the prescribed schedule.
Maintain communication with their teachers regarding lessons, activities, and concerns.

Teachers are likewise expected to continue providing appropriate learning activities and support to ensure the continuity of instruction.

🌧️ SAFETY FIRST

We strongly encourage all students and families to remain at home and prioritize safety, especially while heavy rainfall and possible flooding conditions persist.

Parents/Guardians are advised to monitor official announcements from the Local Government Unit of Lucban, Quezon, PAGASA, and Lucban Christian School for further updates.

Please be reminded that the suspension applies to face-to-face classes; it does not mean the suspension of learning. LCS remains committed to providing continuous, meaningful, and safe education for every learner.
