The College of Arts and Sciences – Commission on Elections (𝗖𝗔𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗖) proudly joined hands with dedicated student leaders, rotaractors, and volunteers as one of the Co-Hosts for 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗯 𝗻𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘄: 𝗕𝗔𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻, 𝗡𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗮, 𝗛𝗔𝗪𝗮𝗸-𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟱 last September 19, 2026.
All participants first gathered at the SLSU College of Agriculture in Brgy. Ayuti, Lucban, Quezon for the Opening Program and Pre-Hike Short Seminar. From there, the team traveled to Brgy. Palola and braved the trail up Mt. Banahaw de Lucban to plant Narra saplings—contributing directly to the long-term 10-year restoration effort for the mountain ecosystem.
Our participation goes beyond simply planting trees to protect Mother Earth—it serves as a powerful reminder that as guardians of democracy and student advocacy, we also carry the responsibility to nurture, preserve, and safeguard the environment we share. 💚🗳️
A heartfelt thank you to the Rotaract Club of Lucena Circle for leading this extraordinary cause, and to every organization and volunteer who walked and planted with us.
May our shared commitment to restoring and protecting Mt. Banahaw continue to grow, one tree at a time! ⛰️🌱
