SLSU-CTE earns national and provincial recognition in March 2026 LEPT
Southern Luzon State University โ College of Teacher Education (SLSU-CTE) was recognized by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) for ranking Fourth Place (with 300 or more examinees and at least 80% passing percentage) in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (Secondary Level).
SLSU-CTE achieved an exemplary passing performance of 92.69% (355 passers out of 383 examinees), earning distinction among participating schools, colleges, and universities nationwide. The award was conferred on June 12, 2026 at the Lucena City Convention Center.
The Torchbearers were likewise honored by the Office of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan through Provincial Resolution No. 2026-276 on June 1, 2026 for their outstanding performance.
The recognitions were formally received by the University President, Dr. Frederick T. Villa, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Dhenalyn Aquino-Dejelo, Dean of the CTE, Dr. Vanessa C. Zubieta, together with the Program Chairpersons. They were joined by the Topnotchers, from Elementary Level: Michelle Indicio Velasco (Top 3), Aila Marie Manalo Prialde (Top 5), Jana Marie Permejo Agarin (Top 6), and Ma. Cecilia Gamboa Teoxon (Top 8); and from Secondary Level: Jay Russel Llego Cueto (Top 9).
These recognitions strengthen CTE's commitment to academic excellence and its mission of producing highly competent and globally competitive educators.
