𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗔𝗚𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗦 (𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗡-𝗔𝗚𝗦𝗬𝗦)
The Agricultural Systems Institute (ASI) of the College of Agriculture and Food Science, University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), will conduct the 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 (𝐒𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐍-𝐀𝐆𝐒𝐘𝐒) on September 22 to 24, 2026 at the N. L. Galvez Hall, Agricultural Systems Institute, CAFS, UPLB.
Serving as the pilot training, 𝐒𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐍-𝐀𝐆𝐒𝐘𝐒 will bring together Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) from the Municipalities of Los Baños, Bay, and Pila, as well as representatives from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg) of Laguna.
The three-day training aims to strengthen the capacity of agricultural extension practitioners in applying a systems approach to sustainable agricultural development and extension. It will feature key topics on:
• 𝘜𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘨𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘴: 𝘒𝘦𝘺 𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘴

Through this initiative, SUSTAIN-AGSYS seeks to equip AEWs with relevant knowledge, tools, and approaches that can support more integrated, context-responsive, climate-smart, and sustainable agricultural systems in their respective communities.
