The "FBI"(Federal Bureau of Investigation) actually employs more than "2,000 Forensic Accountants".

In fact, it was a forensic accountant named "Frank J. Wilson" who finally brought down the infamous mob boss "Al Capone" in 1931. While Capone managed to avoid getting caught for violent crimes, Wilson meticulously tracked his illegal cash flow and uncovered a massive trail of tax evasion. So, technically speaking, accountants brought down one of the biggest crime syndicates in American history.
