UP Cell Biological Society

UP Cell Biological Society A duly recognized academic organization composed of BS Biology students from the University of the Philippines Los Baños.

BRIEF HISTORY

Back in the days when societies in UPLB offered traditional and middling affairs, 27 male and 27 female biology students wanted to build an organization that will change and revolutionize the meaning of geniality, social sensibility, confederacy, and that of the biological sciences. The 54 determined individuals sought to unite academic excellence and service in the promotion of the

sciences and fabricate it with passion, dedication, and heart. With optimism and noble objectives, on the 9th of August, 1990, the UP Cell Biological Society finally took its first breath. OVERVIEW

The UP CELLS is a duly recognized academic organization based at the Institute of Biological Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, University of the Philippines Los Baños, that is also recognized by the National Youth Commission. Aside from being an academic organization, it also aims to reach out to fellow students, organizations, and the community. It aims to bring Biology to a higher level by aiming high not only by maintaining academic excellence, but also by aspiring to develop one’s self, serve the UPLB community, and preserve the UPLB culture. UP CELLS does not plan to excel alone; it anticipates to excel with the community, with every achievement owing them all to Him.

𝑰𝒕’𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑯𝒖𝒇𝒇𝒍𝒆𝒑𝒖𝒇𝒇 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓! 💛

Meet 𝗢𝗿𝗮, the resident songerist of the family! She is fond of doing karaoke with her dear loved ones 🎤. Sobrang hilig din niya with good noms! 🍕

One thing that will always place a smile on her pretty face is Reeses 🍫 and matcha with lots and lots of milk! 🍵 Aside from that, she is also super galing when it comes to making creative outputs! 🎨 She is such a creative girlie, whether it’s designing or adding little things, she can quickly make them aesthetically appealing.

One thing that you can always expect kay Ora ay that she always has cute abubuts on her! 🧸 She really likes collecting cute stuff like Cinnamoroll and cute Japanese stationery. If cute yan, na-mine na agad niya yan! 😆🩵

But don’t be shy about getting to know her, as she is one of the sweetest and most attentive people to those she loves ❤️‍🩹. Asahan mo nang 24/7 ka niyang aasarin kasi yan talaga ang love language niya, pero asahan mo na rin na siya rin ang unang lalapit to hug and talk to you when you have a frown — sobrang sweet lang! ❤️

𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐬’ 𝟑𝟔 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬! 🕷️

As we celebrate a 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐝𝐚𝐲 ❤️, let’s take a look back at the stories of our resident members on how they overcame challenges, reached new heights, and wove a web of memories and connections that will never be forgotten. ✨

From one generation to the next, every story adds a new thread to the web that makes us the Cells that we are today. Hear from our dear resident members as they share their experiences and milestones about being part of the Cells family. 💚🖤

And after 36 years of adventures, hardship, and success, one thing remains true, and that is:
