Women dairy farmers took the spotlight during the celebration of World Milk Day 2026 at the SEARCA Auditorium, University of the Philippines Los Baรฑos (UPLB), on June 2. With the theme โ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ง ๐

๐๐ซ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ ,โ the event brought together women dairy farmers, industry leaders, government officials, researchers, and development partners to recognize the vital role of women in strengthening the Philippine dairy industry.
Hosted by Alaska Milk Corporation and FrieslandCampina in partnership with the UPLB Dairy Training and Research Institute (DTRI), the celebration featured inspiring talks, a Panel Discussion, and a Dairy Fair showcasing locally produced dairy products.
During the panel discussion, women dairy farmers shared their experiences and insights on entrepreneurship, continuous learning, and the importance of support from government and industry partners in building sustainable dairy enterprises.
Speakers highlighted how empowering women farmers contributes to stronger communities, more resilient food systems, and a growing dairy sector.
The event concluded with a symbolic Milk Toast in honor of the women whose dedication, resilience, and leadership continue to shape the future of dairy farming in the Philippines.
