LBSHS Research Excellence Takes Center Stage: Four Papers Advance to CERCon 2026

Los Baños Senior High School once again brings honor to the academic community as four research papers authored by six of its teacher-researchers were officially selected for presentation at the 2026 CALABARZON Educational Researchers’ Conference (CERCon). This achievement stands as a source of pride not only for the school but also for the entire Los Baños Sub-Office, as these four studies comprise the majority of the six research papers endorsed from the district level for the prestigious regional platform.

Demonstrating excellence in research and innovation, one of the selected studies, authored by Mr. Crispin G. Gacuan, has been chosen for Oral Presentation—an esteemed recognition granted to only six research papers across the Schools Division Office of Laguna. This distinction highlights the study’s strong contribution to advancing educational practices and underscores the caliber of research being produced by Los Baños Senior High School.

The remaining three research papers from the school will be featured under the Poster Presentation category, providing further opportunity to showcase evidence-based interventions and innovations developed by its faculty.

This milestone reflects the unwavering commitment of Los Baños Senior High School to its guiding principle of “Service and Excellence,” as well as its active engagement in strengthening the research culture advocated by the Department of Education.

LBSHS Learners Qualify in UPCAT 2026, Marking Another Milestone of Service and Excellence

Los Baños Senior High School (LBSHS) proudly celebrates a significant academic milestone as 48 of its learners successfully passed the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) 2026 of the University of the Philippines, the country’s premier university. 📢 SCHOOL ADVISORY

In reference to the Department of Education Memorandum dated April 9, 2026, regarding the Implementation of Work-from-Home (WFH) Arrangement Every Friday for School-Based Personnel during the End-of-School-Year Break, please be guided accordingly:

Effective April 10, 2026 to June 5, 2026, all school-based non-teaching personnel and related teaching personnel shall observe a Work-from-Home (WFH) arrangement every Friday, while maintaining an onsite work schedule from Monday to Thursday.

This measure is in line with the Department’s energy conservation efforts and the implementation of flexible work arrangements.

Further, all concerned are reminded that:
• The delivery of essential school services remain uninterrupted;
• Necessary staffing arrangements is ensured at all times;
• Compliance with the said memorandum is strictly directed.
