RCYC Officers Take Oath, Embrace Leadership and Service

JONGO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL | September 8, 2026

The newly elected officers of the Red Cross Youth Council (RCYC) of Jongo National High School formally took their oath of office during the Mr. & Ms. JNHS 2026 and Stakeholders’ Convergence held on September 8, 2026, at the Jongo Elementary School Covered Court.

Held under the theme, “One Foundation, One Language, One Vision: Celebrating Legacy and Diversity,” the event brought together learners, teachers, school organizations, stakeholders, and members of the school community in a celebration of unity, leadership, and school pride.

The RCYC Oath-Taking Ceremony marked an important milestone for the newly inducted officers as they pledged to uphold the principles of service, volunteerism, compassion, responsibility, and commitment to the welfare of their fellow learners and the community.

The ceremony served not only as a formal beginning of the officers’ responsibilities but also as a reminder that leadership is anchored on service, integrity, and compassion.

As the newly inducted RCYC officers begin their term, they carry with them a shared commitment to become young leaders who serve with heart, respond with courage, and lead with purpose.

Congratulations to the newly inducted RCYC Officers of Jongo National High School! May your leadership be guided by the spirit of humanity and service.

RCYC OFFICERS TAKE ACTIVE ROLE IN THE 2026 2ND QUARTER NSED

Jongo National High School, June 18, 2026 – The officers of the Red Cross Youth Council (RCYC) of Jongo National High School actively participated in and assisted during the conduct of the Second Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) held today.

As youth leaders committed to promoting safety and disaster preparedness, the RCYC officers helped facilitate the orderly ex*****on of the drill by guiding learners and ensuring that safety protocols were properly observed.

The NSED aims to strengthen disaster preparedness among students, teachers, and school personnel by providing practical experience on the proper actions to take before, during, and after an earthquake. Through regular earthquake drills, schools help cultivate a culture of safety, awareness, and resilience within the community.

The RCYC remains dedicated to supporting programs that promote disaster risk reduction, emergency preparedness, and humanitarian service, empowering learners to become responsible and resilient citizens.
