Demonstrating the true spirit of bayanihan and collaborative public service, Pamampangin National High School (PNHS) successfully conducted its Operation Clean-Up Drive in partnership with the 85th Sandiwa Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army, reaffirming the school's commitment to providing a clean, safe, secure, and learner-friendly environment for all.

The activity was spearheaded by Lieutenant Colonel Geomar L. Pipit, Commanding Officer of the 85th Sandiwa Infantry Battalion, together with First Lieutenant Ronnel B. Lorica, whose leadership and active participation underscored the Philippine Army's unwavering commitment to community development and nation-building through meaningful partnerships with educational institutions.

The program formally began with a welcome message from Ma'am Asela Loreen V. Demdam, OIC - Principal I of Pamampangin National High School. In her remarks, she warmly welcomed the officers and personnel of the 85th Sandiwa Infantry Battalion and expressed the school's heartfelt gratitude for their continued support and willingness to extend their service beyond their military duties.

She emphasized that the partnership between the Philippine Army and the school serves as an inspiration to the entire school community, demonstrating that collective efforts can create a safer, more organized, and more conducive learning environment for every learner.

Following the welcome program, Mr. Jonathan Reyes, School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) Co-Chair, conducted the orientation and operational briefing. Using the school's campus development map, Mr. Reyes guided the soldiers through the entire school layout, presenting the different buildings, facilities, and designated work areas.

He carefully identified the specific school properties, instructional materials, furniture, and equipment that were scheduled to be transferred to their respective buildings, ensuring that every participant had a clear understanding of the day's objectives and workflow.

To ensure the efficient implementation of the activity, Mr. Reyes also led the dissemination of tasks, assigning responsibilities among the Philippine Army personnel, school personnel, teachers, and volunteers. The organized briefing enabled each team to carry out their assigned responsibilities systematically and safely throughout the operation.

With teamwork and cooperation at the forefront, the participants immediately proceeded with the school's priority improvement projects.

One of the major accomplishments of the activity was the transfer of school properties, equipment, and instructional materials to their designated buildings, resulting in improved organization, accessibility, and functionality of school facilities.

Another significant accomplishment was the construction of a protective fence along the upper portion of the Laboratory Building. This important safety project was undertaken to provide additional protection for learners, teachers, and visitors while strengthening the school's efforts to maintain a secure and learner-friendly campus.

Beyond the infrastructure improvements, soldiers, teachers, school personnel, and volunteers worked hand in hand in conducting a comprehensive campus clean-up.

The activity included clearing overgrown vegetation, hauling unnecessary materials, cleaning school surroundings, organizing facilities, and improving the overall appearance of the campus. These collective efforts reflected the shared commitment of the school and the Philippine Army toward environmental stewardship, disaster preparedness, and community resilience.

The successful implementation of the Operation Clean-Up Drive once again highlighted the strong and active partnership between Pamampangin National High School and the 85th Sandiwa Infantry Battalion, strengthening community engagement and promoting quality public service throughout Lopez, Quezon.

After the successful completion of the day's activities, the spirit of camaraderie continued as the soldiers, school officials, and teachers gathered for a simple yet meaningful boodle fight lunch, graciously prepared by the Pamampangin National High School Canteen under the leadership of Mrs. Marieden Alano.

The shared meal became a fitting conclusion to the activity, providing an opportunity for everyone to celebrate their accomplishments, strengthen friendships, and further solidify the partnership between the Philippine Army and the school community.

School officials extended their sincere appreciation to Lieutenant Colonel Geomar L. Pipit, First Lieutenant Ronnel B. Lorica, and the entire personnel of the 85th Sandiwa Infantry Battalion for their invaluable support, dedication, and volunteerism.

Their participation not only expedited the completion of the school's improvement projects but also inspired learners, teachers, parents, and community stakeholders to embrace the values of discipline, teamwork, service, and bayanihan.

As Pamampangin National High School continues to build meaningful partnerships with government agencies and community stakeholders, the school remains steadfast in its mission of delivering quality education in a clean, safe, resilient, and learner-centered environment.

Indeed, through unity, shared responsibility, and genuine community partnership, Pamampangin National High School and the 85th Sandiwa Infantry Battalion continue to build stronger schools, empowered communities, and a brighter future for every Filipino learner.
