AES - On February 16 2026, the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) held its State of the Learner Government Address (SOLGA), led by Jia Kem J. Evangelista, the outgoing SELG President. In her address, Evangelista proudly presented the duties and accomplishments of the SELG throughout the school year, emphasizing the organizationโs commitment to service and leadership.
Among the responsibilities highlighted were the maintenance of school cleanliness, the successful celebration of Teachersโ Day, assistance during Leadership Training, support in the conduct of the SELG Election, and participation in the Valentineโs Day Celebration. Evangelista also underscored the SELGโs consistent role in assisting during the Monday Flag Ceremony, ensuring discipline and order among learners.
The SOLGA served as a reflection of the SELGโs dedication to nurturing leadership and responsibility among elementary pupils. With the guidance of their adviser and the support of teachers and school administrators, the SELG demonstrated that student leaders, even at a young age, can make a meaningful impact in their school community.
As outgoing president, Evangelista expressed gratitude to her fellow officers, teachers, and school leaders for their trust and support. She reminded her peers that leadership is not only about authority but about service, cooperation, and the willingness to amplify the voices of fellow learners.
