LOOK|| Nutrition Month Celebration for S.Y. 2025-2026 Happened today at San Rafael Elementary School with the theme: “Food at Nutrition Security, Maging Priority: Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!”
San Rafael Elementary School culminated its month-long Nutrition Month celebration headed by Jerome S. Villaos, Head Teacher I and Armielyn L. Belleza, Health coordinator with a dynamic and meaningful event held on July 29, 2025, in partnership with Pandayan Bookshop.
The celebration focused on raising awareness about every Filipino child's right to adequate and nutritious food, while also addressing food security and health advocacy among learners, parents, and the community.
The event began with a colorful parade of pupils dressed as fruits, vegetables, and local healthy dishes, representing the diversity and richness of Filipino food. The parade symbolized the school’s commitment to promoting proper nutrition in fun and educational ways.
Pandayan Bookshop, a long-standing partner in education and civic engagement, enriched the celebration through interactive storytelling sessions, educational games, and art contests that revolved around the importance of food security, healthy diets, and access to nutritious meals. Their presence inspired learners to embrace health-conscious choices while enjoying literacy-based activities.
Another major highlight was the “Gulay Cooking Demo”, where parents prepared simple, low-cost, yet highly nutritious vegetable dishes. This activity aimed to emphasize the accessibility of healthy meals at home, even on a limited budget.
San Rafael Elementary School extends its heartfelt thanks to Pandayan Bookshop, parents, teachers, and all community partners who made this celebration impactful. Together, we move closer to a future where every child enjoys food security and good health.
Nutrition is a right—not a choice. Let’s make it a priority!
