LVNHS joins this year’s National Women’s Month Celebration!

This month, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government-Lope de Vega Junior High School takes time to honor and recognize inspirational stories of strong and empowered women.

Mrs. Bernadine Dela Cruz, Master Teacher of LVNHS, shared her story of fighting cancer and her journey of strength throughout her battle, with faith in God and a hopeful heart, looking forward to healing.

“When I was diagnosed with invasive carcinoma, Stage 2A, my world seemed to collapse in an instant. Fear and despair consumed me as I thought about the emotional, mental , and physical pain I would have to endure—most of all, the financial burden that would weigh heavily on my family. The thought of leaving them behind, should I not make it, was unbearable.

But in the midst of my fear, I turned to God. I prayed for the courage to face this battle, for healing, and for financial blessings to sustain my treatment. I surrendered my worries to Him, believing that He would provide me with the strength I needed.

Then came the grueling journey of chemotherapy. The pain was unimaginable. My body weakened, my appetite disappeared. There were days when I felt too exhausted to move, and moments when despair tried to creep back in. But I never lost hope. I held on to my faith, trusting that God’s grace would carry me through.

With each session, I reminded myself that this was not just a battle for survival but a test of my resilience. I chose to face each day with courage, knowing that every struggle was a step closer to healing. I leaned on the love of my family and the unwavering support of those who believed in me.

Though I have completed my chemotherapy, my journey is far from over. I embrace each day with gratitude and a renewed spirit. To those who are fighting their own battles—whether with illness or life’s challenges—know that you are stronger than you think. Hold on, have faith, and never lose hope.

This Women's Month, I share my story not as a tale of suffering, but as a message of resilience. We are women, and we are warriors. No matter what trials come our way, we rise, we fight, and we conquer!”

Ma’am Badine, you inspire us with your strength and resilience! We are praying for your healing, and we claim it! 🙏

Let us continue to celebrate women and their contributions to the society ✨💟
