A New Chapter Begins: Loon Northeast National High School Holds Inauguration Ceremony
Loon, Bohol — A new milestone in education unfolds as Loon Northeast National High School (LNENHS) celebrates its official inauguration on August 29, 2025 with a meaningful and festive ceremony attended by distinguished guests, school officials, and members of the community.
The event features the blessing of the school, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, the unveiling of the official school logo, and the formal inauguration of the newly established LNENHS, marking a significant step forward for the youth of northeastern Loon.
At the heart of this achievement is the school’s founder, Mr. Mario L. Garcia, the Schools District Supervisor of Loon North District. Fondly referred to as the “Super Mario” of Loon North, Mr. Garcia’s vision, passion, and tireless efforts are instrumental in turning the dream of having a dedicated high school in the area into a reality. His leadership and advocacy for accessible education are deeply felt and appreciated by the entire community.
Joining him in this momentous occasion are the School Heads of Loon North District, whose presence reflects the unity and collaborative spirit of the district’s educational leaders. Their support greatly contributes to the continuing success and direction of Loon Northeast NHS.
Gracing the occasion is Dr. Emerson O. Degamo, Regional Program Supervisor from DepEd Region VII, who delivered an inspiring message highlighting the importance of expanding educational opportunities to every corner of the region. Representing 1st District Congressman “Baba” Yap is Former City Councilor Eliezer “Ondoy” Borja, who assures the Congressman’s unwavering support for educational development in the first district of Bohol.
From the Division of Bohol, Dr. Evelyn C. Marapao, Senior Education Program Specialist, commends the school’s administration and stakeholders to providing a conducive learning environment for students in the area.
The local government of Loon also shows strong support, led by Municipal Mayor Hon. Cesar Tomas M. Lopez, and Vice Mayor Hon. Dosong Literatus, together with Sangguniang Bayan Members: Hon. Dondon Marapao, Hon. Rain Merquita, Hon. Hazel Saavedra, Hon. Ethel Palma, Hon. Dondon Relamoagos and Hon. Wilo Tan. Their presence reflects the local government’s dedication to uplifting education in rural communities.
Also in attendance is Barangay Captain Aquilea Moscosa, the host barangay official, who warmly welcomes the guests and underscores the collaborative effort that led to the realization of the school’s establishment. Other barangay officials graced the occasion, including Captain Jose Ramil M. Albarado of Barangay Bahi, and Captain Juanita Romana of Barangay Katipuhan, represented by Kagawad Lorna Cañones.
Also in attendance is Mr. Levi C. Almedilla, the PTA Federated President of Loon North District, whose presence signifies the strong partnership between the school and the parent community. His support highlights the vital role of parents in strengthening the school’s foundation and future.
The unveiling of the LNENHS official logo symbolized the birth of a new academic institution with a strong vision and mission—centered on providing holistic education and nurturing future leaders.
