The Loon North District 𝐆𝐒𝐏 𝐆𝐨𝐭 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 was successfully held on 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 at 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, bringing together Girl Scouts from both elementary and high school levels in a vibrant celebration of talent, creativity and confidence.

From inspiring performances to remarkable displays of talent, our Girl Scouts truly shone—proving that the spirit of scouting lives on through every stage. 💚

📌 Loon Recognized as 2025 Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA) Passer

The Local Government Unit of Loon is proud to announce that our municipality has once again been recognized as one of the passers of the 2025 Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA).

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Loon is proud to announce that, through the dedicated efforts of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) headed by Ma. Marnelli L. Maquindang, and the Municipal Council for the Welfare of Children chaired by Municipal Mayor Pedro M. Literatus Jr., our municipality has officially passed the 2025 Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA), earning an impressive 90% rating.

This recognition is awarded by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) after a comprehensive performance audit that evaluates how local government units uphold children’s rights, deliver essential services, and ensure policies that promote a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for children.

Loon’s achievement reflects its unwavering commitment to strengthening child-centered programs and policies that prioritize the survival, development, protection, participation, and governance dimensions vital to nurturing every child’s potential.

Together, let us continue creating a community where children are valued, protected, and given every opportunity to grow and thrive.

SCHOLAR FROM BOHOL TURNS DEDICATION INTO INDUSTRY-READY SKILLS

Brandon Apostol, a native of Dagohoy, Bohol, spent several months at home after graduating from Senior High School, helping his father in the rice fields while waiting for the opportunity to enroll at Dualtech Training Center. He believes that persistent effort pays off and recognizes Dualtech as a pathway to career opportunities.

At Dualtech, Brandon appreciated the hands-on experience he gained operating the lathe and welding machines and developing practical skills in electrical and electronics work, among other technical competencies.

He continues to expand his knowledge in machine operations and aims to further develop his skills at Tanduay Philippines, where he is currently undergoing on-the-job training through Dualtech’s industry partnership program. His goal is to meet industry standards and excel in his chosen field.

He also expresses gratitude for the opportunity provided by Dualtech, recognizing it as a stepping stone toward professional growth and success. Brandon’s experience demonstrates how values-based technical education and hands-on training at Dualtech equip youth with the skills and industry readiness needed to succeed in their careers.

LEADERSHIP IS NOT OWNERSHIP BUT STEWARDSHIP | “Kining atong gahum sa pagpangulo, usa kini ka butang nga iya sa Diyos. Dili ni siya butang nga murag atong katungod, o naangkon nato tungod sa atong kaugalingon nga pagpaningkamot. Kondili iya kini sa Diyos.

Leadership is not ownership, it is stewardship. Ang gahom gipiyal lamang sa Diyos kanato. Usa ni ka butang nga dili ato, iya sa Diyos ug gipahulam lamang kanato sa Diyos.

Sa pagbuhat nato sa atong papel isip pangulo, wala gyoy rason nga kita magmapahitas-on. We lead with humility. Dili lang ni pahimangno para sa mga obispo, mga pari o mga relihiyoso. Kondili pahimangno ni para sa tanan, apil na gyod ang mga naa sa pangagamhanan, sa nasud, sa probinsya, sa lungsod, sa barangay, ang tanan, dili gyod angay magmapahitas-on.

Di gyod malipay ang Ginoo kon magpasigarbo ta sa atong pagkapangulo. The temptation is there always. Mao na magbantay gyod ta nga di ta magmapasigarbuhon.

Ang kalibutan modayeg gyod na nato nga daghan ang tawo nga naa sa atong ubos. The world will praise us for having people who obey us. But that is not the will of God.

Ang kabubut-on sa Ginoo nga daghang mga tawo ang magrasyahan tungod sa atong maayo nga pagpangulo. God will be happy if people will be blessed because of our good leadership.

Pwede ra gyod ni mawala nato anytime. Samtang naa pa tay papel sa pagpangulo, naa pa tay impluwensya, naa pa tay awtoridad, ato ning gamiton sa paagi nga maayo.

Daghan kaayong mga nangulo nga nagtuo nga magpabilin sila hangtud sa kahangturan. Gani, daghan silang himuon nga magpabilin diha. Because power is addictive. Bantayan gyod nato ni.

Kon mag-abuso ka, magdagmal ka sa mga tawo nga imong gipangulohan, kon di ka magtinarong, that’s a big problem.

Kon di ninyo tumanon ang balaod, kon mahimo kang pangulo nga sa imong pamaagi imong pamalaod ang matuman, pananglitan kanang pagpatay, pagdagmal, paghukom nga di na moagi sa due process, kanang ang balaod imo na ibutang sa imong kamot, ikaw na ang ginoo, di maayo.

Kon di naka maminaw, di naka motan-aw sa circumstances nga nagpalibot sa maong panghitabo, ikaw na gyoy sakto kanunay, nasayod naka sa tanan, di maayo.

Kon di ka magkinabuhi o di nimo puy-an sa maayong paagi, ehemplo nimo di motunong, sa mga mata sa Ginoo di gyod na siya maayo.

If you are not righteous, if you do not follow the law, if you are not a good example to others in the community, unsay giingon sa Ginoo? Mahiagom kamo sa kalit ug makalilisang nga silot.
