The activity was conducted in coordination with the Looc Fire Station โ€“ Romblon and aimed to strengthen fire safety awareness, preparedness, and emergency response skills among our learners, teachers, and school personnel.

Looc National High School successfully conducted the YES-O Camp 2026: EcoVanguard Camp, highlighted by the official launching of Project PULING, an innovative environmental initiative that transforms paper waste and rice hulls into useful and sustainable energy resources.

The activity brought together interested learners of Looc NHS and YES-O Officers who actively participated in meaningful discussions, hands-on activities, and environmental advocacy.

Objectives:
-Discuss the importance of environmental sustainability in schools and communities;
-Create Eco-Charcoal Briquettes from paper waste; and
-Learn the process of carbonizing rice hull as an alternative and sustainable energy resource.

Day 2 of the Conference is currently underway at Looc National High School, with education leaders and key school personnel continuing their collaborative efforts to strengthen school planning, budgeting, implementation, and performance reporting.

Todayโ€™s activities focus on the review, refinement, and finalization of the School Improvement Plan (SIP), School Operating Budget/Annual Implementation Plan (SOB/AIP) for CY 2027, and School Report Card (SRC).

Participants are actively engaged in discussions, planning sessions, and collaborative workshops aimed at ensuring that school plans and programs are responsive to identified needs, aligned with current priorities, and supported by evidence-based strategies.

The activity further emphasizes the importance of strategic planning, responsible resource management, data-driven decision-making, and collaboration in promoting continuous school improvement and better learner outcomes.

As the conference progresses, participating schools continue to work together toward more responsive plans, effective implementation strategies, and meaningful school development initiatives.

The Looc National High School proudly serves as the venue for the Day 1 Conference, bringing together education leaders and key personnel for a collaborative and purposeful activity focused on strengthening school planning, budgeting, and performance reporting.

The Conference Aims To:
a. Re-orient participants on DepEd policies and frameworks related to SIP, SOB/AIP, and SRC;
b. Revisit and recalibrate existing School Improvement Plans (SIPs) in line with current priorities;
c. Prepare and finalize the SOB/AIP for CY 2027; and
d. Update and present the School Report Card (SRC) for stakeholder dissemination.

The conference is attended by 71 participants, composed of Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDS), Coordinating Principals, Public Elementary and Secondary School Heads, Administrative Officers, Facilitators, and the Planning and Management Team (PMT) from the clustered districts and venue.

School heads are likewise advised to bring their School Improvement Plan (SIP) to facilitate the review, recalibration, and updating of their respective school plans.
