When the Midnight Calls Fell Silent
You were a leader, yet more than a head,
A mentor who guided the paths that I tread.
With kindness and trust, you believed in me,
And saw in my thoughts what our school could be.
You listened to my ideas, both big and small,
For the good of our school, you welcomed them all.
Though you had your struggles, your burdens to bear,
You always believed that my thoughts were sincere.
And when your heart was heavy with worries and pain,
You called me to listen, again and again.
Even in the late hours, when the world was asleep,
You would share your concerns, the burdens you keep.
I never thought those calls were a burden to me,
For I knew that you trusted me deeply.
You were more than a mentor, more than a friend,
Like a father whose presence I wished would never end.
Now silence has taken the place of your call,
And I cannot believe I won't hear you at all.
The phone may be quiet, but memories remain,
Your voice in my heart will echo again.
Thank you, Sir Jony, for believing in me,
For trusting my heart and the person you see.
Your kindness and lessons will forever stay,
A part of my journey, each step of the way.
Rest now, dear Sir, your journey is through,
May heaven embrace you with skies bright and blue.
Though tears fill my eyes as I whisper goodbye,
You will never be forgotten, not as long as Iโm alive.
Rest peacefully, Sir Jony.
My mentor. My confidant.
And the father figure I will always remember. ๐๏ธ๐ค
