“Always be teachable. You don’t know everything.”
Stay humble enough to learn, even when you are talented, experienced, or successful. No matter how much you know, there is always something you can learn from God, from other people, and from your own experiences.
Being teachable means you don't automatically become defensive when someone corrects you. Instead, you ask, “What can I learn from this?”
It doesn't mean you should believe everything everyone tells you. It means you have enough humility to listen, examine, and grow.
✅Life lesson
Pride says, “I already know.”
Humility says, “Teach me.”
A teachable person can turn correction into growth. Sometimes the person correcting you may not say it perfectly, but there may still be something valuable you can learn.
✅Remember:
You can be wrong sometimes.
You can learn from someone younger than you.
You can learn from your failures.
You can accept correction without feeling attacked.
You don't have to know everything to keep growing.
Being willing to learn is a sign of strength, not weakness.
The goal isn't to become someone who knows everything. The goal is to become someone who never stops growing.
📖Bible verse
A powerful verse is Proverbs 12:15:
“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.”
This connects directly to being teachable. A wise person doesn't assume that their way is always right. They are willing to listen to advice and consider correction.
Another powerful verse is Proverbs 9:9:
“Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.”
God can teach you through Scripture, through people, through experiences, and even through your mistakes.
Never become so proud of what you know that you stop learning.
A humble heart says:
“Lord, I may not know everything. Help me to listen, help me to receive correction, and help me become wiser.”
Stay teachable. Stay humble. Keep learning. There is always room to grow.
