The University of Batangas Lipa City, through the College of Information Technology, Entertainment and Communication (CITEC) and the Community Extension Services (CES), formally turned over the SMART-BIMS: A Barangay Information Management System with Data Analytics to its adopted community, Barangay Bulacnin, Lipa City.
The partnership was sealed through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing on March 16, 2026, at Trattoria Lipeña—marking a shared step toward more organized, data-driven, and efficient community services.
Through this initiative, UBLC continues to work hand in hand with local communities, bringing technology closer to everyday governance.

Today, February 25, 2026, the Brahman Integrated Computing Society (BrICS) proudly stands with the nation in commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.
As we joined the commemorative walk, we honored the bravery, unity, and unwavering resolve of the Filipino people who chose courage over fear and democracy over oppression. The spirit of EDSA reminds us that real change begins when individuals come together with a shared purpose — for freedom, justice, and national dignity.
As a student organization under the College of Information Technology, Entertainment, and Communication, BrICS reaffirms its commitment to uphold truth, integrity, and responsible innovation. May the legacy of People Power continue to inspire us — not only as future IT professionals, but as active citizens dedicated to building a more just, informed, and empowered Philippines.

📣 BSIT Reorientation 2026 📣
The Brahman Integrated Computing Society (BrICS) officially opened the semester with BSIT Reorientation 2026 on January 27, 2026, bringing together the BSIT and BSEMC student body for a meaningful general assembly focused on clarity, direction, and purpose. The event served as a platform to formally present the organization’s programs, semester plans, and agendas—ensuring that every initiative is aligned with the academic and professional growth of the students.
The reorientation was further strengthened by the presence and support of the college administration and faculty, led by Dr. Mayling-Ilagan Capuno, Dean of the College of Information, Technology, Entertainment, and Communication, who delivered the opening remarks. Also in attendance were Dr. Kielly Chrizza Mae Tojino-Lara, BSIT and BSEMC Program Head; Mr. Russel Reyes, BMMA Program Head; Mr. Jeff Gelacio, Faculty; and Mr. Joshua Kalaw, Faculty.
With clear goals, well-structured programs, and strong guidance from the college, BrICS remains committed to leading the BSIT community toward a focused, organized, and productive semester ahead. 💡🚀

On February 3, 2026, the College of Information, Technology, Entertainment, and Communication (CITEC) conducted a Community Extension Service (CES) presentation at Barangay Bulacnin, Lipa City, featuring the initial presentation of the Barangay Bulacnin SMART Barangay Information Management System (SMART BIMS).
The activity was led by Mr. Russel Reyes, Program Head, with the strong support of Dr. Mayling Ilagan-Capuno, Dean of the College, together with faculty members, fourth-year BSIT student developers, and officers of the Brahman Integrated Computing Society (BrICS). This initiative highlights the College’s commitment to its CES goals and to the University’s core value of Service to Fellowmen, by delivering technology-based solutions that directly serve the community.
