In Action: Holistic Academy for Achievers student journalists actively participated in an intensive training today in preparation for the upcoming Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) to be held on November 11–14.

This activity aimed to enhance the writing skills, journalistic knowledge, and confidence of the young campus writers as they prepare to represent the school in various journalistic categories.

The workshop began with a brief introduction to campus journalism, followed by a session on News Writing discussed by Mr. Gerald F. Falcutila. His lecture highlighted the fundamentals of writing a news story, the importance of accuracy, and the value of ethical and responsible reporting.

Moreover, the following speakers shared their expertise in their respective journalism categories:

Ma'am Bernadeth T. Macatangay, Academic Head – Feature Writing

Ms. Gladys P. Marasigan – Editorial Writing

Mr. Jomar L. Malaluan – Editorial Cartooning

Ms. Juvelle M. Resaba – Sports Writing

Furthermore, a series of hands-on workshops were conducted, allowing participants to apply the techniques and lessons they learned throughout the training. These activities encouraged creativity, teamwork, and journalistic excellence among the student writers.

The activity was successfully facilitated by Ms. Angelyn Tenorio, Grade One Adviser, who ensured the smooth flow of the sessions.

As the training concluded, the participants were reminded that true journalism begins with courage and honesty.
