When a child is overwhelmed, they may not yet be ready to listen, explain, or follow instructions.
Before correcting the behavior, help the child feel safe and calm. Lower your voice, reduce demands, give enough space, and offer simple support.
Teaching becomes more effective when the child is calm and ready. 💙💚
Calm first. Connect next. Teach when ready.
What helps your child feel calm and safe?

To every child and teenager—when life feels too heavy, please do not carry it alone. Talk to your parents, your teacher, or someone you trust. There will always be someone willing to listen, understand, and care. You matter, and you are deeply loved. 💚
To our parents, let us stay close to our children. Let us listen with patience, understand without judgment, and remind them that home and family will always be their safe place.
Choose kindness. Love yourself. Hold on to your family. And when you are struggling, please reach out. We are here, and we are ready to listen. 💙💚
