Following the grace-filled celebration of the Solemn Investiture 2026 on September 20, 2026, St. Francis de Sales Major Seminary welcomed seminarians and their families for a joyful Family Day.

It was a beautiful time to come together, celebrate the gift of vocation, and give thanks for the families and loved ones who continue to accompany, encourage, and pray for our seminarians throughout their journey.

Beyond the formation received within the seminary, vocation is nurtured by love, faith, sacrifice, and the presence of family. This day reminded us that behind every vocation is a community of people who faithfully walk alongside one another.

May the joy of this day continue to strengthen our families and our seminarians as they grow together in faith and in service to Christ and His Church.

On this sacred occasion, they shall receive the Cassock—a visible sign of their response to God's call and a humble reminder of the life to which they are being formed: a life of prayer, sacrifice, charity, and total self-gift in service of Christ and His Church.

The Cassock is more than a garment. It is a reminder to clothe themselves with Christ, to die to self and live for God, and to walk each day with the people entrusted to their pastoral care. May this vesture become for them a constant invitation to holiness and fidelity.

🌹 MARIAN DAY 2026 | September 8, 2026 🌹

A beautiful celebration of the Birthday of Mama Mary—a day filled with faith, love, and devotion to our Blessed Mother. 💙✨

Our Marian Day celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Juan Carlos Coloso, whose presence and blessing made this occasion even more meaningful and grace-filled.

Through his blessing, we were also blessed to officially begin the launching of our Marian Exhibit, a special showcase honoring the life, beauty, faith, and enduring devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. 🙏🏻🌹

May Mama Mary continue to guide us closer to her Son, Jesus, and inspire us to live with humility, love, and unwavering faith.

🌿Annual Retreat of Seminarians | Final Day 🌿

The final day of our Annual Retreat was dedicated to a synthesis of the previous talks and reflections, gathering the lessons and graces we received throughout these meaningful days.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Eugene S. Elivera for guiding us through a fruitful and grace-filled retreat. May all that we have received continue to deepen our vocation and draw us closer to Christ.

🙏 Thank you, Fr. Eugene, for being an instrument of God’s grace in our journey.

🌿 Annual Retreat of Seminarians | Day 4 🌿

Day 4 of our Annual Retreat reflected on two Evangelical Counsels: Chastity and Poverty, reminding us of the call to live with a pure heart and a spirit of simplicity and detachment for the sake of Christ and His mission.

The day was also filled with joy as the community celebrated the birthday of Sem. Regio. 🎉🙏

May the Lord continue to form our hearts in holiness, generosity, and joyful service.

🌿 Annual Retreat of Seminarians | Day 3 🌿

Day 3 of our Annual Retreat was a day of talks, Holy Mass, and Holy Hour, centered on conversion of the heart and allowing ourselves to be led by the Good Shepherd.

We were reminded that true conversion begins within—a heart willing to listen, change, and follow where Christ leads.

🙏 May we continually allow the Good Shepherd to guide our hearts and deepen our response to His call.

🌿 Annual Retreat of Seminarians | Day 2 🌿

After a restful night, Day 2 of our Annual Retreat continued with a deeper reflection on our personal calling from God.

We were reminded that each vocation is unique and personal—God calls each of us by name and invites us to respond with faith, trust, and generosity.

🙏 May we continue to listen to His voice and discover more deeply the purpose of His call in our lives.

🌿 Annual Retreat of Seminarians | Day 1 🌿

Our Annual Retreat of Seminarians, hosted by Fr. Eugene S. Elivera, began with a Holy Hour, placing everything in the presence of Jesus.

The day continued with the orientation and a reflection on Zacchaeus and the sycamore tree —his deep desire to see Jesus. May we, too, renew our desire to seek Christ and encounter Him more deeply in our vocation.

✨ Growing in Grace, Courtesy, and Confidence✨

The Theologate Department had a meaningful and enriching evening session on Social Grace and Etiquette, held at 8:00 PM and facilitated by Msgr. Riyyan Mendoza.

More than learning proper manners and social conduct, the session reminded us that true etiquette is rooted in respect, humility, confidence, and charity toward others. These are virtues that help us not only in social settings but also in our journey of formation and service to the Church. 🙏

A fruitful evening of learning, reflection, and becoming better prepared to witness Christ through our words, actions, and presence.
