In line with its commitment to community extension and agricultural development, the 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑨𝒄𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒚, 𝑩𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑬𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒄𝒔 (𝑪𝑨𝑩𝑬), Faculty Extensionists of Batangas State University – The National Engineering University (BatStateU–TNEU) Lipa Campus, led by 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐭. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧-𝐆𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐲, in collaboration with the Extension Services Office, successfully conducted 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 & 𝐏𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬 under the DAGATAN 360° Program on May 28, 2026, at Dagatan Family Farm School.

The activity provided participants with valuable learning opportunities aimed at developing entrepreneurial competence while promoting sustainable agricultural practices. Through interactive lectures, engaging discussions, and business planning sessions, participants gained practical knowledge and essential skills in entrepreneurship and business management.

The learning sessions were highlighted by the expertise of Resource Speaker 𝐃𝐫. 𝐍𝐞𝐥𝐝𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐚, who shared inspiring insights and real-world experiences in agripreneurship. Her expertise encouraged participants to explore innovative and sustainable agricultural enterprises that can contribute to community growth and rural development.

Through initiatives like 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 & 𝐏𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬, the DAGATAN 360° Program continues to nurture future agripreneurs, strengthen community partnerships, and promote inclusive and sustainable development—reflecting BatStateU–TNEU's unwavering commitment to empowering communities through extension, innovation, and education.

Batangas State University – The NEU Lipa Campus successfully conducted 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐏𝐄𝐍 𝟒.𝟎: 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫-𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 with the theme “𝑹𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒂𝒓: 𝑺𝑯𝑨𝑹𝑷𝑬𝑵𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑬𝒙𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑰𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑬𝒏𝒅𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕”, a program designed to refine and align proposed PPAs (Programs, Projects, and Activities) with the University’s extension agenda through guided mentoring, structured presentations, and technical critique sessions.

During SHARPEN 4.0, campus officials highlighted how the initiative provides a valuable opportunity to refine extension program proposals—calibrating objectives, ensuring feasibility, and elevating quality—while emphasizing the importance of meaningful service that reaches underserved communities and transforms lives. This shared vision was expressed by 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐀𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝐑. 𝐃𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐚, University Chancellor; 𝐃𝐫. 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬 𝐆. 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐧, Vice Chancellor for Research, Development, and Extension Services; and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐱𝐨𝐧 𝐒. The impact was felt not only by the speakers but also by the participants. In the post-activity survey, one attendee shared that the training was especially helpful because it guided them on how to effectively propose extension programs—proof that SHARPEN 4.0 is paving the way for stronger, purpose-driven initiatives.

𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮, Batangas State University – The National Engineering University Lipa Campus successfully conducted the extension project “𝑽𝑶𝑰𝑪𝑬𝑺 𝑹𝑬𝑪𝑳𝑨𝑰𝑴𝑬𝑫: 𝑭𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚 𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏” at held at the Graciano Lopez Jaena Conference Hall, March 26.

The initiative serves as a vital component in the rehabilitation and reintegration of parolees and probationers. This program centers on the philosophy that family remains the essential foundation for personal growth, utilizing communication, empathy, and trust-building as primary tools for successful community reentry.

The centerpiece of the event was a comprehensive discussion titled“𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒈𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝑯𝒐𝒎𝒆: 𝑹𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝑹𝒆𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝑭𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏,” presented by 𝑫𝒓. 𝒀𝒐𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂 𝑳. 𝑷𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒂, Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). Dr. Pasia provided participants with practical, actionable approaches to restoring fractured family connections while emphasizing that second chances are most effective when backed by a stable and loving home environment. The discussion focused on essential interpersonal skills such as active listening to ensure family members feel validated, conflict resolution strategies for navigating disagreements without damaging the family bond, and emotional awareness to foster healthy interactions.

𝑴𝒓. 𝑹𝒆𝒙𝒐𝒏 𝑺. 𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒛, Head of Extension Services, set a tone of impactful transformation during the program’s opening. This was followed by 𝑫𝒓. 𝑴𝒚𝒓𝒂 𝑨. 𝑩𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒕𝒐, CAS Extension Coordinator, who emphasized the indispensable roles of compassion and continuous support in the journey of rebuilding lives. To conclude the session, 𝑴𝒔. 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒄𝒂 𝑺𝒂𝒎𝒔𝒐𝒏, Parolee and Probation Officer I, challenged participants to apply the insights gained from Dr. Pasia’s session to actively reclaim their roles within their families and communities as a final step toward full social rehabilitation.

This extension project underscores the university's proactive role in social advocacy and nation-building. BatStateU TNEU Lipa reaffirms its commitment to inclusive community development by equipping parolees with the tools for meaningful transformation. The session concluded with a renewed sense of hope, marking a significant step toward successful reintegration for all attendees.

The project was organized and led by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐀. 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬, 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 of the 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐂𝐓𝐄) at Batangas State University – The NEU Lipa, in partnership with the 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 and with the support of volunteers from the 𝐀𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 (𝐀𝐅𝐄𝐆). The initiative benefited 30 selected learners.

This project combined academic assistance with engaging activities, leaving learners with a memorable and impactful experience. Through this initiative, GABAY Phase II continues to strengthen collaboration and promote accessible, community-based education.

The 𝑺𝑻𝑬𝑴 𝑩𝑶𝑶𝑺𝑻 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎: 𝑺𝑻𝑬𝑷 𝑼𝑷 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕 was successfully conducted last 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, highlighting the outcomes of collaborative research and system development. The program formally opened with the welcome remarks of 𝐃𝐫. 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐋. 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬, Assistant Principal of Bolbok Integrated National High School (BINHS), who welcomed the participants and emphasized the value of collaboration between higher education institutions and partner schools in fostering innovation and learning.

This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐂𝐓𝐄), represented by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐀. During the session, the student developers presented their capstone systems, followed by a demonstration of their functionality. The panel of evaluators carefully reviewed each project, tested the system features, and provided constructive feedback and technical recommendations to further enhance the systems and strengthen the research output.

Through this collaborative effort, the activity emphasized the value of interdisciplinary expertise, innovation, and continuous improvement in developing technology-driven solutions that contribute to academic and institutional advancement.

𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧! 🤖✨

Strengthening STEM education through robotics and innovation, 𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐌 (Robotics Training for Optimized STEM Innovation) Phase 3 was successfully conducted on 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟔–𝟐𝟕, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, at 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐛𝐨𝐤 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 through the collaborative efforts of the 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 led by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐀. 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 and the 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 led by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐱𝐨𝐧 𝐒. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐳, in partnership with 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 – 𝐋𝐢𝐩𝐚 represented by 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨 𝐆. 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬.

The two-day seminar-workshop immersed participants in 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐫𝐝𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, where they explored robotics concepts, circuit connections, and basic coding. On the second day, learners applied their knowledge through robot assembly, programming, and a Robotics Challenge, demonstrating 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, and 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦-𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

This successful training was made possible by the groundwork established during the field visit on February 20, where the team conducted checking, testing, and calibration of Arduino kits—including sumo bots and line-tracing robots—to ensure full functionality and readiness. The visit reinforced the shared commitment to provide quality technical assistance and deliver a seamless, hands-on learning experience.

Through this joint initiative, 𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐌 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝟑 strengthened institutional partnerships and advanced technology-driven education, empowering future-ready learners through innovation and extension in action.

𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐀. 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 and the College of Engineering Technology led by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐱𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐳, in partnership with 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬 from National University Lipa.

Through this joint effort, the team reinforced their shared commitment to technology-driven education during a field visit at 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐛𝐨𝐤 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟎.

On February 20, 2026, the Extension Service Office, College of Arts and Sciences, and the Lipa City Parole and Probation Office, together with the National University Lipa - Community Extension, carried out Ladderized CARE: Project RISE-UP 2.0.

The program formally opened with the program introduction and inspirational message delivered by 𝑫𝒓. 𝑴𝒚𝒓𝒂 𝑨. 𝑩𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒕𝒐, setting a positive and encouraging tone for a day focused on personal growth, healing, and renewed purpose.

The first activity was facilitated by 𝑴𝒔. 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒄𝒂 𝑺𝒂𝒎𝒔𝒐𝒏, where participants were asked to write their thoughts and reflections on pieces of paper and post them on a shared wall—allowing everyone to express their feelings, insights, and aspirations in a collective and supportive space.

This was followed by the second interactive activity led by 𝑫𝒓. 𝑴𝒚𝒓𝒂 𝑨. 𝑩𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒕𝒐, which further strengthened self-awareness, reflection, and meaningful engagement among the participants, with a focus on gender sensitivity and inclusive participation.

Through these activities, the project continued to promote holistic reintegration by strengthening identity, purpose, and inner resilience.
