We often use the symbol "-30-" to signal the end of a story. For the Nightingale’s Club Officers of S.Y. 2025-2026, it signals the end of an era and the beginning of a very, very long, much-deserved nap even if just for a day.

President Mervin Christian Vergara cut right through the usual PR fluff and summarized the year with absolute candor: "Leadership is meaningful because of the people who chose to walk together despite exhaustion, misunderstandings, pressures, deadlines, and sacrifices. Every event became possible because people stayed, every achievement happened because people cared, and every failure became bearable because nobody left anyone behind."

The headlines have been written, the deadlines are finally dead, and the midnight group chats can officially be put on mute—or not.

Tomorrow, the mandate for genuine representation reaches a critical juncture as the College of Nursing convenes for the Nightingale's Club Elections. The future of leadership begins with your vote, this is your definitive moment to choose the student leaders who will advocate for our college throughout the Academic Year 2026–2027.

As future healthcare professionals, the nursing electorate must demand a standard of governance defined by leadership, competence, and commitment. We encourage every nursing student to participate and make their voice count, as every vote is a fundamental step toward selecting leaders who will serve with integrity, dedication, and purpose.
