Cuban Macaw

The Cuban macaw, also known as the Cuban red macaw (Ara tricolor), was a species of macaw native to Cuba and the nearby Isla de la Juventud that became extinct in the late nineteenth century. Its relationship with other macaws in its genus was long unknown, but it was thought to be closely related to the scarlet macaw, which shares some physical characteristics. It could also have been related to, or identical to, the fictitious Jamaican red macaw. According to a 2018 DNA study, it is the sister species of two red and two green extant macaw species. The vibrant Cuban macaw lived in Cuba and went extinct in 1885 due to hunting, trading, and being captured as pets. Aviculturists are rumored to have bred birds that are similar in appearance, but slightly bigger because they had similar genes. the Cuban macaws are important seed predators of large tree fruits in the ecosystems in which they live. They may influence the generation of forest tree species if we bring them back to life.

The Moa

The Moa was large flightless birds that lived on the islands of New Zealand. These birds looked like a massive version of the emu. Unlike ostriches, emus, cassowaries, and other flightless birds, Moas didn’t have any wings at all. Researchers believe that they went extinct around the year 1400 B.C. Nine different species of Moas roamed the islands in New Zealand. The largest of the species stood at 12 feet tall and weighed over 500 pounds. However, not all of the different species were quite so gargantuan, and some species were about the size of modern-day ratites. These birds looked similar to emus in body shape, with long necks and long legs. However, researchers believe that they walked with their necks stretched in front of them, rather than walking fully upright.

Bringing back Moa can help the ecosystem through seed dispersal, with whole seeds often found in their poo.They are not dangerous and they can easily adapt to their surroundings and its climate.

Woolly Mammoth

Woolly mammoths seem like an excellent choice for de-extinction. Many woolly mammoth specimens remain in the permafrost of Siberia. Paleogeneticists, scientists who study preserved genetic material, have sequenced the woolly mammoth genome. Woolly mammoths were social animals that lived in herds. Attempts at bringing woolly mammoths back from extinction may fail many times before a viable mammoth is born. If using an Asian elephant as a surrogate carrier of the mammoth, the elephant's 22-month gestational period eliminates the possibility of the elephant carrying an offspring to continue the endangered elephant species.

The woolly mammoth is one of our chosen extinct animals because it can adapt to any temperature, cold or warm. It is also stated that their insulated grass aids in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Research indicates that grasslands sequester carbon from the atmosphere more efficiently than other ecosystems. The multidimensional climate dynamics of the grazing cycle provide a potentially powerful tool for fostering resilience in the face of human-caused climate change.

Dodo

The Dodo was driven to extinction a mere 80 years after its discovery. Since the bird's habitat on the island of Mauritius contained no natural predators, the dodo did not evolve effective defenses. This lack of instincts led to extinction through sailors being able to kill them for food quickly. Invasive species introduced from the sailors' ships ate the vegetation that formed the diet of the dodo, as well as the dodo eggs, creating the primary factor causing their extinction.

We chose the dodo because it is a non-threatening animal with no reported or documented cases of human extinction. The dodo has a reputation for being a humble, kind, and naive animal due to its overly welcoming nature. It was completely harmless, but it was attacked indefinitely when the predators arrived, despite having only lived on his island. And it can help us maintain the balance of our ecosystem in the same way that farming dodo p**p helps to fertilize the soil. The Dodo adapted to these seasonal changes.
It used to overeat and fatten itself up during the wet season in order to make it through the dry season when food was scarce.

Thylacoleo

Thylacoleo was 75 cm (30 in) at the shoulder and about 150 cm (59 in) long from head to tail.[12] The skulls indicate they averaged 101 to 130 kg (223 to 287 lb), and individuals reaching 124 to 160 kg (273 to 353 lb) were common, and the largest weight was 128–164 kg (282–362 lb). Thylacoleo Carnifex would have been the same size as a jaguar.

Being a freak of nature, Thelacoleo has several unique traits that make them unique among its competition making it the apex predator. With its retractable claws and abnormally strong forelimbs, we could teach these oversized marsupials to do several tasks that require humans at high risk going up in trees such as gathering fruits and leaves which are normally challenging for us, but is no problem for the thylacoleo.

Passenger Pigeon

The “Passenger Pigeon”, also known as the wild pigeon (Ectopistes migratorius), is an extinct pigeon species native to North America. Because of the species' migratory tendencies, its common name is taken from the French term passager, which means "passing by." Its migratory qualities are also mentioned in the scientific name. During the early 1800s, millions of these birds roamed eastern North America, and migrating flocks clouded the skies for days. Passenger pigeons were commonly referenced in the literature of early explorers and settlers. In 1605, Samuel de Champlain reported "countless numbers", Gabriel Sagard-Theodat described a flight as being about a mile wide and taking several hours to pass overhead, and Cotton Mather described a flight as being about a mile wide and taking several hours to pass overhead. Despite this, no wild passenger pigeons could be seen by the early 1900s.

Bringing back the passenger pigeon will restore the dynamic forest regeneration cycles that dozens of presently declining plant and animal species need to thrive.

Tecopa Pupfish

The Tecopa pupfish (Cyprinodon nevadensis calidae) was first described by Robert Miller in 1948 after six years of research. With a blunt head and dorsal fins close to the tail, these fishes were endemic to the Californian hot spring outflows in Tecopa at an altitude of 1,411 ft (430 m). The Tecopa pupfish was a heat-resistant species capable of surviving high water temperatures of over 110 F (43.3 C).

They can be very useful for they feed on mosquito larvae, they can have a big impact on the mosquitoes population for they can survive on the hottest surface temperature most natural mosquito predators can’t. They could be very useful being introduced to tropical countries with natural ponds and lakes where most mosquitoes use as their breeding grounds. With the gnats population controlled, the spread of mosquito-related diseases such as Zika virus, West Nile virus, Chikungunya virus, dengue, and malaria. Can now drop drastically.

Aurochs

Aurochs are distinguished by their enormous size and long, curving horns. Among the beasts that roam the lands, few command the respect of hunters like the aurochs. They are most commonly found in wide-open spaces such as plains and downs. They prefer areas with a lot of grass, but they can survive in less fertile areas as well. They can develop thick coats that allow them to survive in cold climates.

If we had the technology to revive an extinct fauna species, we would choose to revive aurochs. Aurochs are the common ancestor of modern bovine, the last known survivor was back in 1627 before it was hunted to extinction. Reviving aurochs would give us a lot of opportunities in agriculture and the economy due to the obvious reason that this ancient bovine has more muscle mass compared to modern cattle which would give us more meat, milk, and many more valuable natural products such as bones for medicine and many more to consume at a lower price, low enough to feed starving third-world children.
