Young math wizards of Lipa City shine in AMEP 2024

LIPA CITY - The Schools Division of Lipa City has yet again proven its prowess in mathematics as its elementary pupils and high school students showcased exceptional skills in the recently concluded Asian MathSci League, Inc. (AMSLI) Mathematics Enhancement Program (AMEP) 2024.

AMEP, a rigorous 10-Saturday training program organized by AMSLI, aimed to elevate the mathematical proficiency of Filipino learners across the nation, gearing them up for both national and international competitions. This year, students from Lipa City displayed remarkable dedication and talent, solidifying their reputation as formidable contenders in the field of mathematics.

The recognition ceremony held with grandeur at De La Salle Lipa on March 16, 2024 was graced by esteemed officials from the Department of Education including Dr. Felizardo Bolaños, the Schools Division Superintendent; Dr. Theresa Exconde, the Education Program Supervisor in Mathematics; and Dr. Francia Silva, the Education Program Supervisor in Science.

"The participation of our students in the AMEP 2024 is a testament to their unwavering dedication and the effectiveness of our educational programs, specially the ones partnered with AMSLI. We are immensely proud of their achievements and remain committed to nurturing their mathematical talents," expressed Dr. Exconde after the awarding rites.

Throughout the program, students underwent intensive training sessions, covering various mathematical concepts and problem-solving techniques. Their perseverance and hard work culminated in commendable results, reflecting the effectiveness of Lipa City's educational initiatives and the students' innate talent in mathematics.

As Lipa City continues to foster a culture of academic excellence and innovation, initiatives like the AMSLI Mathematics Enhancement Program serve as catalysts for the advancement of mathematical education, paving the way for even greater achievements on both national and international stages.
