GSP Week Day 7: Escoda Day! 💚

Josefa Llanes Escoda (1898–1945) wasn’t just the founder of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines—she was also a civic leader, educator, women’s rights advocate, and a true war heroine.

During World War II, she bravely smuggled food, medicine, and messages to prisoners of war. For her courage, she was arrested and executed by Japanese forces in 1945, making her a martyr for freedom and service.

Today, her legacy lives on in every Girl Scout, and she was honored on the ₱1,000 bill as a symbol of leadership and selfless service. 💚
