𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐍𝐄𝐔 𝐋𝐢𝐩𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 and 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐨𝐝 𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐠 held an 𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑒𝑝𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑚𝑒𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 to explore a possible research collaboration between the two institutions.

The discussion focused on sharing ideas, identifying common research interests, and finding ways to support future academic projects that can benefit both schools. This initial meeting opens opportunities for faculty and researchers to work together and build stronger research connections.

The activity served as a collaborative venue for faculty researchers to enhance their skills in developing competitive research proposals and explore opportunities for externally funded projects in partnership with 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐩𝐚. Through this initiative, participants were guided in strengthening their research capabilities, fostering innovation, and creating meaningful studies that can contribute to both the academic community and society.

The colloquium further ensured that submitted proposals were thoroughly reviewed and enhanced to meet the required standards and align with the University’s research priorities, particularly in preparation for the Local Research Evaluation Committee (LREC) Research Evaluation.

This study employed a cross-sectional design involving 344 undergraduate students enrolled in PATH-Fit courses at a public higher education institution in the Philippines. Data were collected during the second semester of Academic Year 2024-2025 using adapted versions of the Teacher’s Emotional Support Scale and the Revised Study Process Questionnaire (R-SPQ-2F). The constructs were validated through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) in SmartPLS 4, and hypothesis testing was conducted using multiple regression analysis in SPSS. Grounded in Self-Determination Theory (SDT), the study investigated the association between perceived instructor emotional support and students’ engagement in deep learning within physical education courses.

The research examines how social media influencers shape the purchasing behavior of Filipino millennials, utilizing the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to analyze three key psychosocial determinants: attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control. A descriptive survey research design was employed, gathering data from 500 millennial consumers across multiple districts.

Faculty researchers gathered last 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 for an enriching and productive Questionnaire Development Writeshop, aimed at strengthening their research instruments in preparation for the data-gathering phase.

The activity focused on guiding participants in developing and refining questionnaires that are clearly aligned with their research objectives, methodologically sound, and compliant with accepted research and ethical standards.

We were honored to have 𝑫𝒓. 𝑹𝒊𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝑴. 𝑩𝒂𝒏̃𝒆𝒛, 𝐻𝑒𝑎𝑑 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑅𝑒𝑠𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑐ℎ 𝑂𝑓𝑓𝑖𝑐𝑒 – 𝐽𝑃𝐿𝑃𝐶 𝑀𝑎𝑙𝑣𝑎𝑟 𝐶𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑢𝑠, as our resource speaker. He shared valuable insights on the Fundamentals of Questionnaire Development, Aligning Research Objectives with Research Instruments, and Validity, Reliability, and Ethical Considerations in Research Instruments.

A highlight of the writeshop was the presentation and evaluation of outputs from selected proponents of seven LREC-approved research projects, where constructive feedback was provided to further enhance their instruments.

Indeed, this activity marks another step toward ensuring quality, ethical, and impactful research within our academic community. 📚✨
