𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐀𝐏 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔–𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕

The PSU ETEEAP Unit under the OVPASS Division recently held its Orientation Meeting for the 1st Semester AY 2026-2027 via the Zoom platform on September 11, 2026. The Orientation was led by the Vice President for Academic and Student Services, Dr. Weenalei T. Fajardo with the ETEEAP Director, Dr. Erna M. Salazar. The meeting was attended by the Campus Executive Director of Binmaley, Dr. Joseph B. Campit, and CED of Asingan, Dr. Roy C. Ferrer. They were joined by the Campus officials such as the Registrars, ETEEAP Focal Persons and Staff, College Deans, and Department Chairpersons of the deputized programs.

The Orientation focused on the review and harmonization of the ETEEAP Manual of Operations with national mandates, specifically RA 12124 (the ETEEAP Law), CMO no. 11 s. 2025 (its Implementing Rules and Regulations), and CMO no. 20 s. 2026. All attendees were reminded of their roles in implementing the approved processes and procedures, especially in assessing the qualifications of potential enrollees for admission and in providing the needed assistance to students up to the time of finishing their program.

To provide new direction, transitory guidelines will be issued by the OVPASS for compliance and transparency. These guidelines are supplemental to the existing ETEEAP Manual of Operations.

With Pangasinan State University continuing to champion flexible and accessible education under the leadership of University President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas and Vice President for Academics and Student Services, Dr. Weenalei T. Fajardo, the PSU ETEEAP team led by the ETEEAP Director Dr. Erna M. Salazar, and Lingayen Campus ETEEAP Focal Person Ms. Jolina A. Espiritu, and Dr. Grace G. De Vera as ETEEAP Faculty and OUS representative for ODeL, actively participated in the Lifelong Learning Caravan cm Zonal Public Orientation on the Addendum to Eligibility Requirements for ETEEAP Deputization of HEIs conducted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED RO1) on September 10, 2026, at The Monarch Hotel, Calasiao, Pangasinan. The regional event gathered higher education institutions across the North and Central Luzon Clusters to align with the latest national guidelines and standards for deputized programs.

The caravan focused on opportunities for HEI deputization and lifelong learning, as well as the most recent CHED policies and eligibility requirements. It is anticipated that the information gathered from the orientation will help the university improve its Open and Distance e-Learning and ETEEAP programs and services, guaranteeing the continuous compliance with the most recent national higher education standards and policies.

Suspension of classes and work operations (August 10, 2026) in Lingayen Campus and Main Office due to the continuing outpour of rain enhanced by the Southwest Monsoon and in adherence to Executive Order Nos. 61 and 61-A, s. 2026 issued by the Municipality of Lingayen.

Campus Executive Directors are likewise enjoined to issue the necessary advisories on the status of classes and work arrangements in their respective campuses, in accordance with and consistent with the announcements, directives and issuances of the concerned Local Government Units (LGUs) where the campuses are situated.
