In celebration of National Women’s Month, the school community of Guesang Elementary School actively participated in a meaningful clean-up drive aimed at promoting environmental awareness and unity. Teachers, pupils, and staff worked hand in hand in cleaning the school grounds, collecting waste materials, sweeping pathways, and maintaining the cleanliness of the surroundings. The activity highlighted the important role of women in leading initiatives that foster responsibility, cooperation, and care for the environment. Through this collaborative effort, the school community not only improved the cleanliness of the campus but also celebrated the spirit of empowerment, teamwork, and service in honor of women and their valuable contributions to society. 🌿💜

In celebration of National Women’s Month, Guesang Elementary School proudly observed Purple Wednesday, with the initiative of the school principal Dr. Esperanza Fernandez, a meaningful activity that highlighted respect, equality, and empowerment of women both inside and outside the classroom. Teachers and pupils came dressed in shades of purple, symbolizing justice, dignity, and women’s rights.

Inside the classroom, the celebration was marked with engaging and reflective activities. Teachers facilitated discussions about the importance of women in history, the role of mothers and female leaders in society, and the value of treating everyone equally regardless of gender. Pupils actively participated by sharing stories about inspiring women in their lives — from mothers and grandmothers to teachers and community leaders. Through storytelling, short presentations, and creative drawing activities, learners expressed appreciation and respect for women’s contributions to their families and communities.

The classroom atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and cooperation. Boys and girls worked hand in hand during group activities, demonstrating mutual respect and positive relationships. Teachers emphasized kindness, empathy, and teamwork, reinforcing the idea that empowerment begins with understanding and respect for one another.

A dental checkup was conducted for the pupils of Guesang Elementary School with Dra. Jade Dela Cruz and Nurse Alex De Guzman. The activity aimed to promote oral health and ensure that students maintain good dental hygiene. Pupils received basic dental examinations, and the team provided tips on proper toothbrushing and cavity prevention. This initiative supported the school’s commitment to students’ overall health and well-being.

Tuwing Agosto, ipinagdiriwang ng buong Guesang Elementary School ang Buwan ng Wika, isang makulay at masayang selebrasyon na naglalayong paigtingin ang pagpapahalaga at pagmamahal sa ating sariling wika, ang Filipino. Ngayong taon ika 28th ng Agosto ang araw ng selebrasyon ng Buwan ng Wika sa Guesang Elementary School. Ang mga g**o, mag-aaral, at mga magulang ay nagtipon-tipon upang makiisa sa iba't ibang aktibidad na nagtatampok ng mga kahalagahan ng wika sa ating kultura at identidad bilang mga Pilipino.

Ang tema ng pagdiriwang sa taong ito ay “Wika ng Pagkakaisa, Pagkakaintindihan, at Paghilom,” isang tema na tumatalakay sa gamit ng wika bilang kasangkapan sa pagpapalaganap ng malasakit at pagkakaunawaan sa bawat isa. Kasama sa mga aktibidad ang mga pagsasalita, tula, at mga paligsahan ang "show and tell" para sa mga kindergarten, tula sa unang baitang tula sa ikaliwang baitang,likha kuwento sa ikatlong baitang at paggawa ng slogan para sa ikaapat na baitang, at pagpapakitang gilang ng mga mag aaral sa ikalimang baitang ng katutubong sayaw, tahi-rawan sa ikaanim na baitang Ang mga mag-aaral ay naging masigasig sa kanilang mga pagsali sa mga patimpalak na ito, at ipinamalas nila ang kanilang mga talento sa pagsulat at pagbibigay ng mensahe gamit ang wika.

Isa sa mga pinakatampok na aktibidad ng pagdiriwang ay ang pagpili ng "Lakandula at Lakambini 2025” kung saan ang mga mag-aaral mula sa iba’t ibang taon ay nagpakitang-gilas sa kanilang mahusay na pagmomodelo upang maipakita ang ganda ng kanilang kasuotan na nagpapakita ng pagmamahal sa wika at bayan.

Sa pagtatapos ng buong buwan ng pagdiriwang, ang Guesang Elementary School ay naging isang buhay na halimbawa ng paano ang wika ay hindi lamang isang kasangkapan sa komunikasyon, kundi isang mahalagang bahagi ng ating pagkakakilanlan bilang mga Pilipino. Ang bawat mag-aaral, g**o, at magulang ay umuwi na may bagong kaalaman at mas mataas na pagpapahalaga sa ating wika, na siyang nagbigay daan para sa patuloy na paglago at pag-unlad ng ating kultura.
