The PSU Quality Assurance Office

In 2015, PSU set sail towards quality assurance through ISO 9001:2015 and was granted the certification in 2016 which placed harmony and synchronization of the services and operations rendered in all its academic units. PSU was cited as the first SUC in the Philippines to have ISO 9001:2015 Certification by an internationally recognized accrediting body and in 201

7, covered all the Multi-Campus Scope. Because of the implementation and continuous improvement of PSUโ€™s established QMS, the university has received numerous recognitions and awards along quality assurance and good governance. PSU is Institutionally Accredited SUC (Level II) by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP, Inc.) PSU was Institutional Sustainability Assessment (ISA) certified in 2018 and first Investors in People (IiP) silver awardee in Asia and Bronze Awardee for achieving Maturity Level 2 in the four (4) core Human Resource Management (HRM) systems: Recruitment, Selection and Placement (RSP), Learning and Development (L&D), Performance Management (PM) and Rewards and Recognition (R&R) awarded by Civil Service Commission Regional Office I. Lastly, COA rendered an UNMODIFIED OR UNQUALIFIED OPINION on the fairness of the presentation of the financial statements of the University as of December 31, 2019. Unmodified auditorโ€™s opinion is the highest form of opinion that can be accorded to a government agency. It means that the financial statements of PSU are presented in accordance with applicable financial reporting frameworks and that they are in conformity with existing accounting rules and policies. Because the administration has put best effort in ensuring quality in all its operations and functions, the AACCUP recognized PSU as one among the five universities in the Philippines to have Outstanding Internal Quality Assurance Unit in 2018.

Pangasinan State University (PSU) continues to advance its culture of quality and continual improvement through the conduct of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) Remote Audits at the San Carlos City, Alaminos City, and Asingan Campuses.

Spearheaded by Vice President for Quality Assurance Dr. Celeste T. Mercado, together with Director for International Accreditation Dr. Randy Joy M. Ventayen, the respective Campus Executive Directors, Quality Assurance teams, and concerned process owners, the audit activities were conducted in collaboration with the audit team led by Audit Team Leader Ms. Maribeth Lucanas, together with the assigned team of auditors.

The engagement underscores PSUโ€™s unwavering commitment to quality, accountability, and continual improvement, ensuring that its systems and processes remain aligned with international standards and responsive to the evolving needs of its stakeholders.
