Limay Polytechnic College's Teacher Education Department hosted its annual event HIYASanay: EDUC Congress with the theme โTransition and Transformation in Basic Education: Updates, Trends, and Issues for Development,โ held at Limay Sports Complex, May 28.
Ms. April R. Cruz, Head of Teacher Education Department and Director of the Academic Affairs, welcomed all the participants and wished for the students to listen carefully to the discussions as the topics will greatly help them in their careers.
Guest speaker Mr. John R. Quiroz, School Principal II of Lamao NHS, discussed the newly implemented โThree-Term Academic Systemโ enforced by the Department of Education (DepEd).
He reminded everyone in his speech through a question,โIf not now, then when? Kailan pa natin gagawin yung mga pagbabagong ito kung hindi sisimulan?,โ
Quiroz also uttered that the new curriculum was made for the betterment of the quality of education in the country.
The school principal furthermore explained the various reasons why classes are getting cancelled and how the three term calendar can help lessen the cancellations and its benefits to both students and instructors.
He also addressed the issue of workload compression and how the students and instructors were forced to understand months of lessons in a span of weeks due to limited school days that were caused by the cancellation of classes causing stress among the related parties.
On the other hand, Dr. Leovigildo E. Domingo Jr., School Principal III, Kanawan IS, who served as the second speaker, started his discussion with an interactive game of fact or bluff about the newly revised curriculum.
He shared how the revision of the curriculum was made and the learning principles behind the revision.
Domingo also imparted the 4Iโs (Inclusive, Ideational, Integrative, Innovative), 4Cโs (Context, Collaboration, Connection, Creativity), and 4Eโs ( Engage, Explore, Experience, Empathize), of the Instructional Design Framework of the MATATAG Curriculum.
He finished his lecture by wishing the students good luck on which path they take,โSo, mga future educators, let us continue creating meaningful learning experiences and lifelong love for learning,โ Dr. Domingo added.
Meanwhile, the long awaited HIYAS Tagisan: EDUC Quiz Bee took place as the last activity of the day, led by college instructors Ms. Queences Ricel G. De Guzman and Ms. Via M. Satingin.
Each representative of different sections and grade levels competitively tested each otherโs wits and knowledge with the passion to be hailed as the sole winner.
Moreover, Ms. Jana Marie D. Mangune, DTE program coordinator, thanked everyone who participated in the event.

๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ฆ ๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ฃ| LPC recognizes outstanding LPCian researchers in Tuklas Sikhay
Limay Polytechnic College's Tuklas Sikhay, a research conference an event for the students showcased their research findings, held at LPC Audio Visual Room, as part of the LPC's 29th Founding Anniversary, May 28.
Mr. Joemark Ablian, Director of the Research Development and Extension Office, expressed his gratitude to the students who came prepared for the presentation of their research.
He then explained the purpose of this event, โthis will give you additional knowledge more para magkaroon tayo ng magandang experience that you will be using in the future journey.โ He stated.
Ms. Abegail Valmonte, college instructor, presented the four research evaluators with different professions to provide their insights to the students during the presentation namely Mr. Rendel B. Batchar, MAEd; Mr. Arjay O. Serrano, MBA; Louiegene Donato; and Adriane Nacin, MSIT.
Program followed by words from Mr. Danreve Apostol who discussed the rubrics and guidelines of the event.
Consequently, the event started by designating each groups from each department to different rooms.
Each presenters showcased their research findings and insights with knowledgeable skills and with confidence. They answered each questions thrown by the research evaluators and delivered their research with clarity and facts-supported.
After the presentation of all the participants, Certificate of Appreciation was awarded to each groups who presented during the event and to the panelists who contributed to the event.
Awarding ceremony for the winners who exhibited great expertise and creativity in their presentation showcasing different skills and understanding to their research highlighted the event.
The RDE director delivered his closing remarks to conclude the event.
He gave congratulatory messages for the winners, the students who spent their sleepless nights browsing the internet to find the research articles to support their findings, to the people behind the successful event and to the panelists who came all the way here from their respective places. #

Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) held its 5th National Service Training Program (NSTP) Graduation Ceremonies on June 4 at the Limay Sports Complex, recognizing students who completed the Literacy Training Service (LTS) and Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) programs under the theme, โLPC NSTP: Empowering Youth for Community Transformation and Global Impact.โ
The ceremony highlighted the graduatesโ contributions to community development and civic engagement, while emphasizing the role of youth in nation-building.
LPC President Dr. Elmer B. De Leon congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to remain grateful to those who supported them throughout their journey.
โLingunin at balikan ang mga taong umalalay sa inyong tagumpay,โ he said.
De Leon also emphasized that LPC continues to promote service, discipline, and integrity among its students, describing these values as the foundation of a true Dangal LPCian.
The keynote address was delivered by Lieutenant Commander Maycee Ann B. Angga, PN, Naval Aviator and Flag Secretary of the Naval Air Warfare Force, Philippine Navy. Angga urged graduates to view NSTP as more than an academic requirement and challenged them to use their skills and experiences in serving others.
She shared four guiding principles represented by the acronym NSTP: No one sails through life with a perfect map, Stop comparing yourself with others, Think beyond yourself, and
Prioritize what truly matters.
โLife is not a smooth voyageโthere will be storms and unexpected turns. But with purpose, courage, and service, you will always find your way,โ she said.
The ceremony also recognized outstanding students for their achievements and service.
Awardees included Dess Rose D. De Guzman for Leadership, Lovely B. Bautista for Service, Bea F. Talavera for Civic Welfare, and Mary Lianne B. Montoya for Technical Service. Prince Harold S. Maestro received the distinction of Most Outstanding NSTP Student of the Year.
Several student-led projects were likewise recognized, including Alab Letra, Farmerpreneurship, Ctrl + Alt + Create, and Kabataang Katutubo, Kabataang Wais, for their contributions to community development and empowerment.
Speaking on behalf of the graduates, Maestro expressed gratitude to the college, faculty, families, and community partners for their support throughout the program.
The ceremony concluded with the recitation of service pledges, the singing of โPilipinas Kong Mahal,โ and closing remarks from Mr. Joemark D. Ablian, who reminded graduates that their NSTP training marks the beginning of a lifelong commitment to public service and nation-building. #

A total of twenty-four (24) senior citizens on Thursday, received their certificates in the recently concluded 2nd Limay Polytechnic College Edukalinga Senior Citizen Education Completion Ceremony during the celebration of LPC's 29th Founding Anniversary, demonstrating that learning remains possible at any stage of life, held at Limay Sports Complex, June 4.
Carrying the theme โEmpowered Seniors: Continuing Growth, Inspiring Generations for Community and Global Impact,โ the ceremony recognized senior citizens who returned to formal education and successfully completed the Edukalinga program.
In his opening message, LPC President Dr. Elmer B. De Leon emphasized the institutionโs commitment to lifelong learning.
โLearning has no age limits,โ De Leon said. โEducation remains a powerful force no matter what the age.โ
Sangguniang Bayan Member Sarah V. David likewise commended the completers, describing education as a lifelong journey.
โPinatunayan ng ating mga senior citizens na ang edukasyon ay isang habambuhay na paglalakbay. Ang tunay na pagkatuto ay walang edad,โ David said.
She also encouraged the graduates to continue pursuing personal growth beyond the program. โHindi katapusan ng inyong paglalakbay,โ she added.
Municipal officials, college administrators, and family members attended the event to celebrate the achievements of the graduates.
Moreover, the 24 completers, representing the barangays of Alangan, Landing, Townsite, and Bo. Luz, formally presented by Edukalinga Coordinator Ms. Quences Ricel G. De Guzman and confirmed by Dr. De Leon before receiving their certificates.
Special awards were also presented to outstanding completers, recognizing their dedication and perseverance throughout the program.
Representing the graduates, Mr. Gabriel M. Balastigue delivered a message of gratitude, while a video presentation highlighted the participantsโ Edukalinga journey.
The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Joemark D. Ablian, MAEd, Head of Research, Innovation and Extension.

Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) officially launched the โHIYAS Hanapbuhay: Launch of IPpreneurship Project and MOA Signingโ in Sitio Kinaragan, Duale Limay, Bataan, aiming to strengthen the livelihood opportunities of the Samahan ng mga Kababaihang Ayra sa Kinaragan (SKAK), through entrepreneurship and digital marketing, May 26.
The program was spearheaded by LPC Research Director Joemark Ablian, QUALITI & IZN Officer Mark Anthony Banda, Business and Accountancy Department head Dr. John Levy Rueda, together with College instructors Julie Diaz, Rizzalyn Hussain, Abegail Valmonte, and Danreve Apostol, as part of LPCโs continuing effort to empower local communities, particularly indigenous groups, by equipping them with practical skills in product development and online selling.
During the activity, facilitators introduced strategies on how SKAK members could effectively market their products through online platforms.
Participants were also taught various methods to improve product quality and presentation to increase their marketability.
Mr. Apostol engaged the members in a discussion regarding the challenges they encounter in selling their products.
Members shared difficulties in reaching buyers, promoting their goods, and improving product visibility in wider markets.
Meanwhile, the RDE director assured the association of LPCโs commitment to assisting them in developing sustainable livelihood opportunities.
He emphasized the institutionโs willingness to collaborate with the group in enhancing product ideas and productivity.
โPwede nating gawaan ng paraan at pag-usapan kung may naisip kayong produkto, willing po kaming tulungan kayo para mas maging productive po tayo,โ Ablian said during the discussion.
SKAK President Ruby Ann Salonga expressed gratitude to LPC for its continued support and training initiatives extended to their community.
โMaraming salamat sa patuloy na pag-suporta at walang sawang pag-training sa amin dito. Nawa ay tayo ay magkaisa, sipag at tiyaga po para sa ating lahat,โ Salonga stated.
The event concluded with the official signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between LPC and SKAK representatives, including the organizationโs secretary and president, marking a strengthened partnership toward community development and livelihood sustainability. #

The Business Administration students of Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) gathered for product pitching of innovative banana produce in Limay Sports Complex for HIYAS NEGOSYO: Corporate Business Day as part of the 29th founding anniversary of the institution, May 26.
Dr. Elmer B. De Leon, College President of LPC, delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the abundance of banana plants locally and framed the initiative as an alternative to the common practice of harvesting only the fruit while discarding the rest of the plant.
His speech is followed by Provincial Director Eileen E. Ocampo of the Department of Trade andIndustry (DTI) and Ms. Imelda T. Rubiano, President of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), as keynote speakers.
With the theme โCompetitive LPCian: Innovation, Development, and Growth Toward Entrepreneurial Success, โ the event showcased 171 different products made from various parts of the banana plant, demonstrating the students' ingenuity in transforming agricultural waste into marketable goods.
โlnnovation is not a new product but a solution to an old problem,โ Ocampo said, stressing the importance of adaptability in business. "Survival of the fittest when it comes to business industry. If you don't adapt and learn to adjust in business, your business will end."
โAim to be job creators. Be the problem solvers and innovators. Kayo na ang susunod na hahalili sa ekonomiya ng Bataan. โ Ocampo urged.
She noted that DTI Bataan operates 13 Negosyo Centers across the province to assist micro and small enterprises, urging students not to waste opportunities and to leverage digital marketing tools and e-commerce to launch local products on a national scale.
For the DTI participants (May 18โ21, 2026), Panel 1 winner were Cheemory Savory while Panel 2 winner were Mango360. In the Entrepreneurship Booth pitching presentation, Lasat Likha was crowned Champion. For the Non-food category pitching presentation, Peelastic
won Champion.
Special Awards went to Dine Out for Product Presentation, Banana Peel Patties for Zero Waste, Banana Vinegar for Market Potential, Papaya Milkshake for Social Impact, and Ayakaya for Best Packaging.
The program also included an audio-visual presentation of Musa Crunchโchampion of the Young Farmers Challenge Intercollegiate (regional judging)โand an advertisement video produced by BSBA 3C third-year students.
