Limay Polytechnic College joined the online United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Youth Webinar Series on Climate Resilience, ๐ผ๐ช๐๐ช๐จ๐ฉ ๐ญ๐ฑ, ๐ฎ๐ข๐ฎ๐ฒ
The ๐ณ๐ต๐ฉ episode: "๐พ๐ก๐๐ข๐๐ฉ๐ ๐ผ๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ ๐๐ค๐ฌ: ๐๐ค๐ช๐ฉ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐พ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐," highlighted the crucial role of young people in addressing the climate crisis. With the Philippines facing struggles from typhoons, flooding, and rising sea levels. this opportunity led LPC to take part in the UN SDG Youth Webinar Series, a meaningful space where young people come together to learn, and be inspired to take action toward achieving the Nations SDGs.
๐ ๐ฟ. ๐๐ผ๐ต๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐ผ ๐๐น๐ด๐ผ from Aksyon Klima Pilipinas served as Keynote Address speaker delivering a session entitled "๐๐ข๐ค๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ต๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ด: ๐ ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ต๐ฉ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ ๐๐ญ๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ต๐ฆ ๐๐ฆ๐ด๐ช๐ญ๐ช๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ค๐ฆ" which emphasize through digital advocacy, renewable energy initiatives, and community resilience projects. It reminds us of one important thing: young people have a role to play. Understanding the challenges is only the beginning; what matters is how we use what we learn to inspire action, influence others, and contribute to meaningful change.
