The final standings saw Water Nation (G-10) in 1st runner-up, Ice Nation (G-11) in 2nd runner-up, Earth Nation (G-7) in 3rd runner-up, Fire Nation (G-9) in 4th runner-up, and Air Nation (G-8) in 5th runner-up. Each team demonstrated remarkable talent and perseverance, making the competition unforgettable for participants and spectators alike. Shadow Nation Smashes Ice Nation in Badminton!

Compra, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte – Shadow Nation electrified the courts at the Compra National High School Intramural Meet 2025 badminton tournament, seizing the championship title with a dazzling display of skill and teamwork! Held from September 4-5, the team soared to a final tally of 73 points, leaving rivals Ice Nation (69 points) and Fire Nation (67 points) in a heated battle for second place. Water Nation, Earth Nation, and Air Nation showcased great sportsmanship, and camaraderie, rounding out the competition. Organized by Tournament Manager Ericson E. Barbarona, the event highlighted intense matches across boys', girls', and mixed doubles categories, making it a memorable experience for all.

Earth Nation’s Callao Reigns in Board 2 of Female Chess Intramurals 2025
Compra National High School — Earth Nation’s Jane Hide Faith Callao proved unstoppable on Board 2 of the Female Chess Intramurals 2025, finishing with 12 points and a 4-1 record. Playing with confidence, Callao swept Air and Shadow Nations with the white pieces, Water and Ice with black.
Trixie Ann Bayeta of Air Nation (4-1) was close behind, who tallied 9 points for second place. She powered past Fire, Ice, and Shadow using white pieces, then wrapped up his run by defeating Water with white.
Shemeka Antipuesto of Water Nation (3-2) secured third with 7 points after victories against Fire and Ice with white, and Shadow with black.
Danica Arenda of Fire Nation (3-2) settled for fourth place with 5 points and she edged Ice with white and Shadow with black.
Meanwhile, Ma. Angel Ann A. Dela Rita from Ice Nation and Jay-an A. Arnaez from Shadow Nation both secured fifth place with 3 points, having tied in the last game.

Compra National High School — The 2025 School Intramurals brought fans to the edge of their seats as Ice Nation and Shadow Nation displayed remarkable skill, teamwork, and determination across all Table Tennis categories.
Single A Male: Albert Infanso of Ice Nation (G-11) dominated the finals, sweeping Justine Evangelio of Fire Nation (G-9) 3–0. Earth Nation placed second, Water Nation third, Air Nation fourth, and Shadow Nation fifth. Infanso’s precise shots and calm under pressure kept spectators cheering every point.
Single B Male: Jhon Paul Catili of Shadow Nation (G-12) emerged victorious in a nail-biting five-set match against Ralph Zozobrado of Ice Nation (G-11), 3–2. Water Nation finished second, with Earth, Fire, and Air Nations following closely.
Doubles Male: Ice Nation’s Infanso and Zozobrado combined powerful rallies with seamless teamwork to sweep Shadow Nation 3–0 and claim the doubles title.
Single A Female: Cheryl Kate Aperdo (Ice Nation, G-11) edged out Kelly Mae Yabo (Shadow Nation, G-12) 3–2 in an intense five-set battle, thrilling fans with her composure and determination.
Single B Female: Krisha Nicole Gom-os of Shadow Nation (G-12) claimed the championship with a 3–1 victory over Karyll May Villacrusis (Ice Nation, G-11), demonstrating skill and resilience.
Doubles Female: Ice Nation’s Cheryl Aperdo and Karyll Villacrusis defeated Shadow Nation 3–1 in a spirited final, impressing the crowd with teamwork and strategy.

Close behind was Clynt D. Zozobrado of Ice Nation (4-1), who tallied 9 points for second place. He powered past Air, Fire, and Shadow using black pieces, then wrapped up his run by defeating Water Nation with white in the final round.
Ian Cris Serencio of Shadow Nation (3-2) secured third with 7 points after victories against Fire and Water with white, and Air with black.
Meanwhile, Zejan Lloyd Bicoy of Water Nation (3-2) settled for fourth place with 5 points. Bicoy edged Earth and Air using white, and Fire with black, but lost against Shadow.
Jerome Kieth G Gonzaga from Air Nation (1-4) of Team 5 secured fifth place with 3 points, securing a lone win against Fire using white.
Jhanfol Jatico of Fire Nation went winless (0-5) to finish sixth.
With the dust settled, Junmark A. Onog (Board 1) and Reyven B. Alcanzare (Board 2) will now carry the flag for Compra NHS at the upcoming District Meet 2025 in the Male Category.

Shadow Nation Claims Championship in Boys Category Final Showdown
The last match of the Boys Category on Day 2 was the fight for the championship between Shadow Nation (G-12) and Ice Nation (G-11). Ice Nation started the game by scoring the first shot, but Shadow Nation quickly responded and took control. With strong defense, quick plays, and accurate shooting, Shadow Nation built a big lead and never looked back. Ice Nation tried to rally but struggled against Shadow Nation’s pace and power. At the final buzzer, Shadow Nation secured the win with 84 points, while Ice Nation finished with 41, making Shadow Nation the Overall Champion 🏆 of the Boys Category.
