On September 18, 2026, the LNHS School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (SDRRMO)conducted a school fumigation activity to help maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for learners, teachers, and staff.

Alinsunod sa Executive Order No. 29, s. 2017, na nagtatakda sa buwan ng Hulyo bilang National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM), buong pusong nakikiisa ang Ligao National High School sa pagdiriwang na naglalayong palawakin ang kamalayan ng publiko sa kahalagahan ng Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM).

Sa ika-38 taon ng pagdiriwang, isinusulong ang temang "NAGHAHANDA at KUMIKILOS Tungo sa PANATAG na BAGONG PILIPINAS," na nagbibigay-diin sa kahalagahan ng maagap na paghahanda, sama-samang pagkilos, at aktibong pakikilahok ng bawat isa sa pagtataguyod ng ligtas, matatag, at disaster-resilient na pamayanan.

The Ligao National High School SDRRMO, in collaboration with the school’s Department Heads, Subject Group Heads, and Department DRRM Coordinators, conducted the Second Quarter School DRRM Committee Meeting on June 22, 2026.

The meeting aimed to strengthen coordination in disaster preparedness efforts and improve the safety and resiliency of the entire school community.

El Niño Alert issued ⚠️

DOST-PAGASA has officially raised its ENSO Alert and Warning System to El Niño Alert, following the high likelihood of its development in the coming months and possible persistence into early 2027. This may bring drier-than-usual conditions, including dry spells and droughts in parts of the country.

However, above-normal rainfall may still be experienced over the western sections during the Habagat season.
