After careful consideration and assessment of various circumstances, face-to- face classes will remain suspended until November 3, 2024, and will resume on November 4, 2024, at all levels, both private and public schools. Alternative learning modules shall be implemented by schools.

This is to allow students affected by widespread flooding and several landslides to prepare and recover prior to face-to-face classes.

The Eastern portion of Albay is placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal [TCWS] No. 1 Tiwi, Malinao, Malilipot, Tabaco, Bacacay, Santo Domingo, Rapu-Rapu and Manito due to the effects of Tropical Storm Leon that has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility [PAR]. Tropical Storm Leon is expected to bring cloudy skies and rain showers over the region.

To anticipate the impacts and ensure public safety, the Albay PDRRMC-APSEMO issues the following:

1. SUSPENSION OF FACE TO FACE CLASSES at all levels both private and public schools in the entire Province of Albay effective tomorrow, October 29, 2024 until lifted.
2. Schools are advised to implement alternative learning modalities.
3. NO SAILING of all types of sea craft until the TCWS is lifted by PAGASA.
4. All types of water activities/recreation are hereby prohibited.
5. Communities exposed to flooding and landslides must remain vigilant and immediately evacuate as needed.
6. All C/MDRRMO's and BDRRMC's must:
a. Closely monitor their respective areas particularly those exposed to
flood, flashflood, and landslide, and execute localized evacuation
as needed.
b. Maintain 24-hour operation and obtain the latest weather bulletin from PAGASA.
