3Ks, Isang Layunin: Para sa Kabataan ng Malengen mula LGU Libungan 💚

Hindi lamang basta programa ang hatid ng LGU Libungan sa Malengen Elementary School ngayong araw. Sa pangunguna ni Hon. Angel Rose L. Cuan, CE, Municipal Mayor, ipinamalas ang tunay na malasakit sa mga mag-aaral at kanilang mga magulang sa pamamagitan ng makabuluhang 3Ks:
📚 K-ayaman – libreng edukasyon at pagpapalabas ng Adopt-a-Child Program (AACP) Fund;
👨‍👩‍👧 K-arunungan – orientation on Responsible Parenthood; at
🎁 K-ayaman – dagdag na saya at biyaya sa pamamagitan ng raffle draw ng bigas at electric fan.
Sa mga simpleng serbisyong ito, ramdam ang malasakit, kalinga, at pagmamahal sa kabataan—mga pagpapahalagang nagbibigay ng pag-asa at pagkakataon para sa mas magandang kinabukasan.

👀MES Integrates Reading Activities into School-Based Feeding Program

In support of Division Memorandum OSGOD-2026-171 on the Integration of Reading Activities into the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP), Malengen Elementary School has integrated daily literacy activities into its feeding sessions to strengthen learners' foundational reading skills while promoting healthy eating habits.

Before the feeding session, assigned teachers conduct Marungko-based reading activities using flashcards, charts, and other instructional materials to reinforce letter sounds, syllables, sight words, and simple sentences.
During the feeding session, learners watch read-aloud stories, storytelling videos, and phonics videos through the LED TV, allowing them to enjoy meaningful literacy experiences while eating.
After the feeding session, teachers facilitate read-aloud activities using short informational selections based on the day's menu. The reading materials focus on the nutritional benefits of the vegetables and other healthy foods served, followed by simple comprehension questions to reinforce learners' understanding and vocabulary.
The initiative aims to maximize the feeding period as an opportunity to develop learners' reading skills while fostering healthy eating habits through engaging and contextualized literacy activities. It also supports the Department of Education's commitment to holistic learner development by integrating literacy and nutrition in the implementation of the School-Based Feeding Program.

👀Malengen ES Caps Nutrition Month Celebration with Learner-Centered Health and Nutrition Activities

Malengen Elementary School officially concluded its Nutrition Month Celebration on Friday, July 31, 2026, with a series of meaningful and interactive activities that promoted healthy eating habits and nutrition awareness among learners. The celebration was spearheaded by the School Principal, Rex Samillano .
Anchored on this year's Nutrition Month advocacy, the school conducted a slogan-making and poster-making contest during learners' vacant hours, allowing them to creatively express the importance of proper nutrition. A NutriQuiz and Healthy Baon Challenge were also held during the flag ceremony to assess learners' knowledge and encourage the practice of bringing nutritious meals to school. Adding color and excitement to the celebration, learners from selected grade levels showcased their creativity by wearing vegetable-inspired masks.
The month-long activities aimed to reinforce the value of proper nutrition, healthy lifestyle choices, and active learner participation through enjoyable and educational experiences.
As a gesture of recognition and appreciation, prizes for the winners and participants were sponsored by the School Principal, highlighting the school's commitment to supporting programs that promote the holistic development and well-being of every learner.

👀District Nurse Conducts School-Based Deworming at Malengen Elementary School
MALENGEN, LIBUNGAN, COTABATO – The School-Based Deworming Program was successfully conducted at Malengen Elementary School yesterday through the initiative of the District Nurse Leoner June Delicano, benefiting learners through preventive health intervention.
Before the administration of the deworming tablets, Nurse Delicano conducted a brief orientation and kumustahan session to explain the importance of deworming, address learners' concerns, and ensure their readiness for the activity.
The School-Based Deworming Program aims to protect learners from soil-transmitted helminth infections, improve their overall health, and support better school attendance and academic performance.
The school extends its sincere appreciation to District Nurse Ljune Delicano for his dedication and continued support in promoting the health and well-being of every learner.

📰 Malengen Elementary School Conducts SPIRPA for S.Y. 2025

Malengen Elementary School successfully conducted its School Performance Implementation Review and Plan Adjustment (SPIRPA) led by the ever-dedicated school principal, Ruby V. Llera, Ed.D, this morning, October 13, 2025.

The activity was attended by the three major homeroom officers from Kindergarten to Grade VI, the Barangay Representatives, and other school stakeholders. It was held in collaboration with Silay Elementary School, fostering a spirit of cooperation and shared commitment to improving school performance.

The review aimed to assess the school’s accomplishments, identify challenges, and set strategic plans for continuous improvement in providing quality education for all learners.

The team carefully inspected all classrooms and facilities to identify any damages and ensure the safety of learners and school personnel.
