𝑳𝑰𝑩𝑴𝑨𝑵𝑨𝑵, 𝑪𝑨𝑴𝑨𝑹𝑰𝑵𝑬𝑺 𝑺𝑼𝑹 — The combined team from Palangon Elementary School, Mambalite Elementary School, and Palangon High School emerged as the 𝑩𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑨𝒅𝒗𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒄𝒚 𝑴𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒂𝒈𝒆 during the 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐆𝐄 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 today, September 10, 2026 at Libmanan Cultural Center, showcasing a creative and meaningful musical presentation promoting the importance of literacy and numeracy.

The event was led by the Public School District Supervisor of Libmanan II, Ma’am Ma Criselda Casasola, with the participation of teachers from the different schools in the second district who portrayed learners, parents, and stakeholders in the musical performance. Their presentation highlighted reading as a powerful bridge toward learning, empowerment, and a brighter future.
The activity was made possible through the support of the school heads of the participating schools—Sir Roberto Malazarte of Palangon High School, Ma’am Lovella Maria Merenciano of Palangon Elementary School, and Ma’am Elvira Navarroza of Mambalite Elementary School.

The team also expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Mayor Son Marfil for his valuable support and time.

The recognition underscored the spirit of collaboration, creativity, and commitment among the three schools in strengthening reading advocacy through 𝑷𝑹𝑶𝑱𝑬𝑪𝑻 𝑩𝑹𝑰𝑫𝑮𝑬.

Representing the school in the Photojournalism – Division Level Contest, Joyce C. Cayabyab, Grade 9 student, takes on the challenge of capturing stories through the lens, guided by her coach, Ma’am Claydes R. Sarcia.

The 2026 DSPC, carrying the theme “Truth in Every Story, Innovation in Every Voice: Empowering Bicolano Campus Journalists in the Age of AI,” is being held on September 8–10, 2026, at Ocampo National High School, Ocampo, Camarines Sur.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our dear parents, Sir Roberto B. Malazarte, PHS School Head, for his unwavering support, as well as to the faculty and staff for their encouragement. Opisyal nang sumali sa Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) ang mga mag-aaral ng Palangon High School sa tatlong-araw na scouting activity na isinagawa sa Milaor, Camarines Sur noong Setyembre 4, 2026.

Layunin ng pagsali sa BSP na malinang ang kakayahan ng mga mag-aaral at matuto ng mahahalagang survival skills, disiplina, at iba pang kasanayan sa pamamagitan ng iba’t ibang pagsasanay at gawain.

Sa unang araw, nagsagawa muna ng briefing at parade ang mga scout. Kinagabihan, lumahok sila sa Vocal Solo at Pop Dance competitions.

Sa ikalawang araw, isinagawa ang iba’t ibang activities sa ilalim ng Explorer, Pathfinder, at Outdoor Scout. Kabilang sa mga gawain sa Explorer ang Safety and Citizenship, Physical Fitness, Rope Works, at Cooking. Sa Pathfinder naman, isinagawa ang Environment, Weather, at First Aid. Samantala, kabilang sa Outdoor Scout ang Swimming, Emergency Life Saving, at Camping Preparedness.

Sa ikatlong araw, nagsagawa ang mga scout ng clean-up drive sa Barangay San Jose, Milaor, kung saan nagpulot sila ng mga basura. Sinundan ito ng closing remarks na nagsilbing pagtatapos ng tatlong-araw na aktibidad.

Bukod sa mga kasanayang natutuhan, nag-uwi rin ng mga parangal ang mga scout ng Palangon High School. Nakamit nila ang 3rd Place for Best in Crew Flag, 1st Place for Best Type A, at 1st Merit Badge in Swimming sa Outdoor Scout category.

𝑳𝑰𝑩𝑴𝑨𝑵𝑨𝑵, 𝑪𝑨𝑴𝑨𝑹𝑰𝑵𝑬𝑺 𝑺𝑼𝑹 — Educators from Palangon High School joined teaching personnel from across the district as Libmanan II officially opened its District Training on Literacy and Numeracy today, September 7, 2026, at the Libmanan Cultural Center.

Led by Public Schools District Supervisor Ma Criselda Casasola, the district-wide activity gathers school heads, personnel, and key stage teachers from different schools in Libmanan II District. The initiative focuses on reviewing learner performance data, implementing evidence-informed teaching strategies, and establishing targeted intervention plans to bridge reading and mathematical learning gaps.

Day 1 of the program centers on Numeracy Recovery, featuring specialized sessions on high-impact intervention techniques, differentiated learning, and data-driven instruction led by district speakers.

The training reflects Libmanan II District's continuous commitment to empowering educators and improving academic outcomes across all grade levels.

BAHAY, LIBMANAN, CAMARINES SUR — Palangon High School and Girl Scouts of the Philippines of Libmanan 2 District,demonstrated leadership, discipline, and camaraderie during the BSP and GSP District Overnight Camp 2026 held at Bahay Elementary School on September 1–2, 2026, with the theme, "Empowered to Serve, Equipped for Life, Ready to Lead."

The camp formally opened on September 1 at 8:30 a.m. with the Raising of the School Flag and Banner and Entrance of Colors. The program featured the Twinkler Promise and Law led by Marydel M. Salva of Bahay Elementary School, Star Scout Promise and Law by Venice Audrey G. Batangas of Libmanan South Central School, and Girl Scout Promise and Law by Nica Abay of Aalong Elementary School.

The activity was graced by Ma. Criselda E. Casasola, District Commissioner; Sctr. Maria Concepcion R. Besenio, Council Scout Executive; and Maria Elizabeth Nerva, Principal I of Bahay Elementary School.

In the morning, Junior Girl Scouts participated in Taekwondo training facilitated by Sir Rinaldy "B**g" Peralta. In the afternoon, they joined Non-Utensil Cooking at 1:30 p.m. and the Escoda Memorial at 3:00 p.m. Meanwhile, Senior and Cadet Girl Scouts underwent Ropeworks at 1:30 p.m. and MDRRM Basic First Aid Training at 2:30 p.m. at the Barangay Bahay Covered Court.

All Girl Scouts gathered at 6:00 p.m. for the Campfire, Talents Unlimited, and Tita Socials and Adult Leaders Socials.

On September 2, the second day started at 5:00 a.m. with Scouts' Own and Flag Up Ceremony, followed by Zumba Fitness at 6:00 a.m. and Holy Mass at 7:30 a.m., officiated by Rev. Fr. Roger B. Barbecho.

The highlights of the second day were the Lecture on School Safety and Incident Preparedness at 8:30 a.m., led by Chief Fatima I. Lanuza, and the Fire Drill and Water Safety activity at 10:30 a.m., facilitated by the Bureau of Fire Protection Libmanan.

The camp concluded at 1:30 p.m. with the Closing Ceremony and Lowering of the Flag.

Palangon High School proudly participated in the Congressional Schools Press Conference (CSPC) 2026, held at Juan F. Triviño Memorial High School on September 2, 2026.

After a long day of brainstorming, writing, and refining their articles, the selected CSPC representatives of The Monitor and Ang Palamasid etched their names in journalism. Despite the pressure and challenges of the competition, the Palangonians performed with courage, passion, and dedication as they paved their way toward excellence.

Behind every late night spent writing and practicing was a growing confidence and determination that ultimately brought recognition to Palangon High School. This unforgettable day showcased the commitment of the school’s student journalists to promoting the value of journalism among the youth.

For every stroke of ink planted on paper, there is a step closer toward achieving a goal—to succeed, learn, and enjoy the journey. The Palangonians proudly brought home remarkable results:

Palangon High School successfully conducted the Reading Assessment and Validation for Grade 7 Students, focused on evaluating and enhancing the reading proficiency of our learners.

Beyond the validation process, our teachers also received valuable technical assistance from our Public Schools District Supervisor, Ma'am Ma Criselda Casasola, providing insightful guidance and coaching to further elevate instruction and learning outcomes in the classroom.

Face-to-face classes in all levels, both public and private schools, in the Municipality of Libmanan are suspended on July 23 and 24, 2026 (Thursday and Friday) in observance of the activities leading to the Annual Town Fiesta.

This measure was undertaken to ensure the safety and convenience of our students due to the expected influx of people and vehicles in connection with the activities leading to our Annual Town Fiesta in honor of St. James the Greater Apostle.

📌 Learning continuity shall be ensured through appropriate alternative learning modalities in accordance with DepEd guidelines.
