Christmas Dance Competition Mechanics
1. Participants
• Open to each unit.
• Each unit may be represented by one dance group, composed of 30 members.
• All sections within each unit are required to provide their representative.
• Participants must be bona fide students of the University of Antique-Libertad Campus
2. Theme
• The official theme is: ” Pag-UpdAnay: Celebrating a Year of success, Opening a Year of Purpose.”
• Performances must reflect the Christmas spirit.
3. Music & Performance Requirements
• Maximum performance time: 5–8 minutes.
• Submitted music must consist of Christmas songs or Christmas-themed remixes.
• Music must be family-friendly and free from vulgar language.
• Props are allowed but must be safe and manageable.
4. Attire & Props
• Costumes must be Christmas-themed, appropriate, and decent.
• Props should not damage the stage or pose hazards.
• Pyrotechnics, fire, sharp objects, and liquids are strictly prohibited.
5. Rules & Guidelines
• All teams must submit their music file on or before (deadline.
• Teams must be present backstage 30 minutes before the competition starts.
• Any performance exceeding the time limit will incur a 5-point deduction.
• Strictly no offensive gestures or inappropriate content.
• Any damages caused by the group to the stage/equipment must be compensated.
• Judges’ decision is final and irrevocable.
6. Judging Criteria

Choreography (Creativity, Originality, Synchronization) Assesses the uniqueness of the routine, creativity of movements, formation changes, and how well the performers move together in sync. 40%
Performance Ex*****on & Energy Evaluates confidence, stage presence, enthusiasm, facial expressions, sharpness of movements, and overall performance quality. 25%
Costume & Props Looks at the appropriateness, creativity, and visual appeal of costumes and props, as well as how effectively they enhance the performance. 15%
Audience Impact Measures the ability of the performance to engage, excite, and captivate the audience. 10%
Relevance to Christmas Theme Checks how well the performance reflects or incorporates the Christmas theme through concept, music, storytelling, or visual elements. 10%
Total — 100%

• Champion
• 1st Runner Up
• 2nd Runner Up
• 3rd Runner Up
Special Awards: Best in Costume and Props, Best in Choreography, Most Energetic Unit
8. Date & Venue
• The competition will be held on December 18, 2025 at UALC Quadrangle
9. Announcement of Winners
• Winners will be announced at the end of the program on December 18, 2025
