๐ BUILDING CONNECTIONS, STRENGTHENING SKILLS, RADIATING HOPE! ๐
The Peer Facilitators Club Orientation and Basic Facilitating Skills Training was successfully conducted on September 17, 2026, at the FSUU-Abp. Morelos Computer Laboratory 2. The activity gave our Peer Facilitators an engaging space to connect, understand their roles, and develop essential skills to become effective peer supporters and facilitators.
The session began with a meaningful โKumustahanโ๐ค๐ซ๐ซ, allowing the Peer Facilitators to introduce themselves, build rapport, and become more comfortable with one another. It served as a simple yet meaningful start in creating a supportive and connected peer-facilitator community.
Then, followed by introducing the Peer Facilitators Club, its purpose, roles, responsibilities, and the importance of peer facilitation in creating a supportive and positive school community. The discussion helped members gain a clearer understanding of what it means to be a Peer Facilitator and how they can contribute to the well-being of their fellow students.
The activity continued with the Basic Facilitating Skills Workshop, where members shared their ideas, thoughts, and experiences while participating in engaging activities designed to strengthen their communication, active listening, teamwork, and facilitation skills. One of the highlights was the role-play activity, which allowed the Peer Facilitators to practice applying basic facilitating skills in realistic peer situations.
The workshop was facilitated by Ms. Marjorie S. Jamero, Peer Facilitators Club Adviser, who guided the participants throughout the discussions and activities.
โจ The orientation and training marked an important first step in strengthening our Peer Facilitatorsโnot only as student leaders, but also as approachable, responsible, and supportive peers.
As Peer Facilitators, may we continue to listen with empathy, communicate with purpose, and create spaces where every student feels heard, valued, and supported. Together, let us learn, connect, and make a meaningful differenceโone peer at a time. ๐พ๐ป๐
